Nottingham Invasion.
So, here we come to the last Invasion of the year, and quite possibly the last Invasion of the recognised format. Having only 3 or 4 people turn up month after month is not sustainable for "Nottinghams biggest Trans event". Maybe, as some have said, there is less appetite for such events as the general public are more and more accepting. However, there will always be those making their first steps into the 'real world' and need a hand to hold. My view is that those who have gone from 'nervous newbie' to living as their true self, have a duty to pay it back. But that's just my view. So, there will be no further promotion of the event by myself or Megan as we are seeing no return on our efforts. Hopefully, someone will come forward (hasn't happened yet, despite my many requests) and keep the event running. Meanwhile, as far as I can see, Invasion will live on in name only as a Facebook group.
One very important thing to note though; The venues we have visited over the years (particularly the New Foresters) need your continued support on any night or month. Use them or lose them!!
For me, once this months Invasion has run, it will be 'over and out'.

PS, this month will run similar to last month as far as starting out is concerned. I will be at the Lord Roberts from around 8.30, while Megan will be starting in the New Foresters. The plan is to hit some of the bars in Hockley, but also take in one or two bars in the winter market. A nice warm mulled wine always goes down a treat this time of year!!
