Kirsty dedicates Tuesdays for people who want to discuss whatever is on her mind. She is experienced and has live as a Transgender woman for ten years and has been going through the Gender Identity clinic process. She understands your fears, anxieties, frustrations, need for information, and just to have someone to talk to. She says: "I wish I had Bar Plus to go to when I was starting out, I felt alone and isolated. Even those who supported me did not fully understand what I was going through. That is why I started up Bar Plus.
Kirsty is using Tuesday Nights as her drop-in centre until her Charity organisation speaksafely.org is up and running and has raised funds with fund raisers and Government and Lottery grants to refurbish the outbuildings at the back of the rear courtyard, and created a dedicated place for sharing issues and off-loading some stress. Until then, Tuesday nights are a good alternative as they are quiet nights and even when others are using the bar, there are snug areas where you can sit down and talk discreetly.
Moulsham street is a ten minute walk from the town centre train & bus stations. Taxi's are easily found if necessary. We have changing facilities and rooms to hire.
