Bar Plus is nicely situated in Chelmsford city centre in Moulsham street. This is a dedicated LGBTQ+ pub with Kirsty & Lilly, a transgender married couple who own the pub business. The pub is open to the public except on Mondays when the doors are closed for a private all-day trans girl and friends, private party day. No invitation necessary. Knock at the rear entrance which is in a carpark on George street. The carpark is pay and display. The mainline train station, and bus depot, are both a ten minute walk.
Mondays - private tgirl all day party
Tuesdays - 11am to 11pm
Wednesdays 11am to 11pm (daytime licensed coffee bar - Kirsty’s quiz night)
Thursdays 11am to 11pm (daytime licensed coffee bar - evening Karaoke queen night)
Fridays 11am to 1am (daytime licensed coffee bar - evening Kirsty & Lilly’s retro disco)
Saturdays 12pm to 1am (daytime licensed coffee bar - late night themed Club style DJ)
Sundays 12pm to 10:30pm (free bar snacks daytime coffee and drinks - movie night)

From Champagne lottery winners to cat walk competitions to everyone dressed in Rocky Horror Picture Show costumes, New Years Eve was an amazing event. We were full to capacity and enjoyed every last minute of it. Happy New Year everyone xx

I can only speak very positively of my visit to this Sunday showcase event. The owners have created a wonderful environment that feels very relaxed and safe. I would have no hesitation in recommending this venue to all. I will certainly be checking out their schedule of events and looking forward to my next definite return

I was down as a "maybe" but unfortunately came down with a heavy cold over the weekend, so couldn't make it. (Have given you "5 stars" anyway, in order to be able to submit these comments!) Pleased to see the great reviews, and certainly looks like a venue to support. I'm only 10 minutes away, so aim to get to some future events. I also see (from another website) that there is a specialised event there on 19th January, with already some 100+ people interested, so hope to give that one a go. What a great first event. We had twelve visitors which I thought wasn’t too bad considering this is the crazy Christmas / new year period! We all mixed very well in the social bar and heated covered courtyard. People paired off and used the rooms upstairs which they said were nicely decorated and clean. Our last couple left at 11pm which is a good indication that we are pretty voiding a quality venue and event. Next event will be 2nd February x
