Bar Plus is nicely situated in Chelmsford city centre in Moulsham street. This is a dedicated LGBTQ+ pub with Kirsty & Lilly, a transgender married couple who own the pub business. The pub is open to the public except on Mondays when the doors are closed for a private all-day trans girl and friends, private party day. No invitation necessary. Knock at the rear entrance which is in a carpark on George street. The carpark is pay and display. The mainline train station, and bus depot, are both a ten minute walk.
Mondays - private tgirl all day party
Tuesdays - 11am to 11pm
Wednesdays 11am to 11pm (daytime licensed coffee bar - Kirsty’s quiz night)
Thursdays 11am to 11pm (daytime licensed coffee bar - evening Karaoke queen night)
Fridays 11am to 1am (daytime licensed coffee bar - evening Kirsty & Lilly’s retro disco)
Saturdays 12pm to 1am (daytime licensed coffee bar - late night themed Club style DJ)
Sundays 12pm to 10:30pm (free bar snacks daytime coffee and drinks - movie night)

First time out socially meeting other girls (plus friends). The bar was not overly busy, but enough people were dotted aroundfor atmosphere. As the newcomer I was welcomed to join a couple of tables of regulars that knew each other. Lovely chats and good prices at the bar, didn't stay long enough for the nights entertainment. Bar staff were friendly and welcoming. Will be more confident and chatty next time, but looking forward to returning when I can! |

Popped into Bar Plus for the Freedom event. It’s a fantastic venue, good selection of drinks, A/C which is a blessing in this not weather and a lovely garden/outside area. Kirsty is a lovely host and made me feel very welcome It was a little quiet for the actual event, which was a shame, although I understand the event has only been running for 2 weeks, I’m sure it will pick up over time. If you’re around I highly recommend checking out this event or Bar Plus itself |

Freedom Club is being extended to Sunday and Monday each week. The opening times are midday until midnight. The club is advertised to gay men elsewhere. Therefore, there is a mixture of sexual persuasions. We have just created two privacy booths for comfort and discretion. Future plans are for a hot tub and we are open to suggestion for other facilities. We are keeping our offer of first 3 visits free entrance. The venue is Bar Plus, 159 Moulsham Street, Chelmsford. CM20LD. There is no need to book in advance. Very little point in asking questions such as: how many will be there? what's the vibe like? when's the best time to visit? how many CD/TS will be there? You may be surprised to be told that I do not have a crystal ball, or can see into the future. This is why I am offering the first 3 visits at no expense to you. That way you can make an informed choice for future visits yourself. Plus, I am a nightmare for answering messages. What I can say is that my venue is an extremely welcoming place that I can assure you you'll feel totally at home in.

went to Bar Plus last night and its a nice venue to go and have a nice drink, the staff a really good and vary polite. Nice place to go if you if your trans and want to go to a safe place

Very friendly pub, staff very polite, unfortunately only two other Tgirls there, one leaving as I arrived, so only had 1 drink and then left. That was a shame but glad I went, would go again if the opportunity arose. |
