🌆 WEDNESDAY IN MANCHESTER
Trans people, together with cis friends and allies have been meeting and socialising in Manchester’s Gay Village on Wednesday evenings since the late 1970s. As the world is more enlightened we now also go out in the mainstream city areas.
I am always out in mainstream city-centre venues. I do not go to the Gay village. If you would like to join me in town, either message me here or use my contact details if you have them. Giving me advance notice is always best.
The Gay Village is embracing of expressive styles of presentation and behaviour and supportive of those who are inexperienced but there is currently no organiser, times or itinerary for those in the Gay Village.
With around 40 licensed premises in the Gay Village alone and more than 600 across the city centre, meeting other trans people simply by chance is unlikely so it is advisable to mark yourself here as attending, to use the forums and/or contact people directly to make arrangements to be sure of meeting other trans people.

I keep all the venue listings in my name as up to date and accurate as I reasonably can. I am also happy to respond through Chix to requests for general information, insights or advice about visiting Manchester. In addition we have a Facebook group “The Buzz” for supporting communication with the local and visiting trans community, ask me for details if you are interested in joining that.
If you would be interested in being an organiser for the Gay Village schedule and/or taking over this Chix weekly Wednesday listing, please message me as I understand that more here on Chix will want to socialise in the Gay Village than in the City centre.
🍽️ QUARTERLY DINNERS
I organise quarterly dinners in Manchester, in a restaurant just 5 minutes walk from the Gay Village. The next one is planned for February 10th and details are posted in Chix events.
