What does anonymous mean when posting to the forums?

Some tvChix Forums allow you to post 'anonymously'.
We recognise that not everyone is comfortable sensitive issues in public, which is why we allow anonymous posts in these forums.
This includes the Emotional Support forum, which is intended for anyone who needs personal or emotional help, advice or just a shoulder to cry on.
We also allow anonymous posting in the Significant Others forum, and Medical Advice Forum, for similar reasons.
Who can see my identity on anonymous posts?
Site admin will always be able to see your identity, even if you post anonymously.
Your identity will also be visible to any forum moderators, specific to the forum you posted in.
Usually this is a very small team, per forum, and the list of current moderators will be posted from time to time.
Who do I remain anonymous to?
All other tvChix users (ie, who are not forum moderators or site admin), are unable to see your identity.
Your username will appear as 'Anonymous', and your profile image will not be shown.
What happens if I reply to my anonymous post?
If your initial post was made anonymously, all further posts you make to that thread are anonymous also.
Please be careful not to reveal any details which could be used to identify you, if you wish to remain anonymous.
How do I make an anonymous post?
There is a tickbox on the Post New Topic screen to allow this.
If you post a new topic and forget to tick it, just edit your post and set it to ticked.
Of course if you dont wish to post anonymously, it can be left unticked.
