Thank you for taking a look. I have been on here for absolutely eons and much has happened since those early days, including a move to Redditch. I did have a much longer profile than this but finally decided to get a large pair of scissors to it and do an update;
March 2022
Since the start of last year I have been able to get out and about in vanilla land a lot more than previously, at least once a week into Brum for shopping, eating etc and this would have been totally impossible without the support and help of my daughter Sally and granddaughter Sara. Due to domestic issues I am unable to change at home but Sara lets me change at hers. And as I cannot afford a vehicle these days, the fact that she lives close to Redditch’s Rail and ‘Bus stations is a massive bonus when walking in 4.5 in heels (My regular footwear). Of course this epidemic has been a major influence as to what we can and cannot do and evenings out are infrequent (sadly not many occasions for glitzy clothes) but I am pleased to say that I do get the occasional lunch with admirers and on other occasions with Sara. All immensely enjoyable and just so liberating.
I am, no doubt, not unique in this but ever since I started on this journey getting shoes to fit (I am a generous size 10) had been a real pain (and not only to the feet) but I came across a website that makes custom-sized shoes and boots. Now mention custom-sized and shoes together and you can end up with a bill containing a lot of noughts but this company produce them for just a few hundred pounds. I now have two pairs of shoes and three pairs of boots that actually fit! The company name is “Solely Original” and I really do recommend them.
In my head I still aspire to go full time and have the breast implants job, but it really is a matter of seeing what comes along! (And, hopefully, soon!).
