Just over 4 weeks since my op, and i could`nt be happier. All is healing nicely, dilating is getting a bit sore now, as i have to dilate 3 times a day for at least 20 mins.
Finances are running dangerously low, and i still have another 6 weeks to go before going back to work, seriously thinking about setting up a go fund me page.
But all is good and i am looking forward to getting out and about again.

Well all is done, i am now 11 days post op and 4 days home, there never has been any real pain, just a very uncomfortable feeling, especially when dilateing, which i have to do 3 times a day. I was really surprised by how quickly i could get up and walk about, but if someone was to ask me what my biggest mistake in life was, it would be this.........and not having it done soooo much sooner. Currently getting bored being indoors, watching daytime telly, so want to get out in the sun. Anyway i will keep you all upto date with what is happening, and a very big THANK YOU to all my well wishers.

Had my pre assessment on Wednesday 12th june, got the results back today.
SO SO EXCITED, everything came back great, which means on Saturday 22nd June i get the surgery i have always wanted, so finally i can be the complete woman i have dreamt so much about being, this has definitly been the longest journey i have ever been on.
Soon the road to recovery, 2-3 months off work so i will keep you all updated on what i will being going through. Hope the finances hold up to me being off for so long (any donations greatly recieved, lol), but i know it will all be worth it, currently loving life to the fullest extent possible, dont think that smiling like the cheshire cat is a good look though.

Major Update!!!!!!
As of today i am no longer under the care of the GIC in London. As i have been discharged from thier care. Oh no i hear you cry, but all is good..no..all is fantastic. I am now purely under the care of my soon to be surgcal team at the nuffield in brighton. I have been given the go ahead for surgery, it has been a long journey to get this far. But i am soon to be the whole woman i should have been from birth. I can not thank the GIC enough for the care they have given me and i wish all those still attendin and those yet to attend all the best for the future.
For me my second life begins now, to all who now me i thank you for you support and care. Sorry i do not come on much any more, just have a very hectic schedule recently, buut hope too catch up soon, love you all.
Me.......well i am a pre-optranssexual. go to London GIC on a regular basis just awaiting the go ahead for the final op.
i an 6 foot tall quite slim, working full time...........finally after 6 years.
Like all sorts of things really, and being who i am i am not one to judge. We all like what we like and as long as it does not harm anyone else, then hey have fun and make the most of life.
Now what a lot of people may find a little hard to believe is that i am still married to the same woman that i married 20 years ago, And we have two teenage children and all of them have been through hell and high water with me, but have stood tall and held thier heads up high, and they still love me despite everything. And that makes me prouder than anything on this planet.
I love cats and have 5. I smoke, but do not drink or do drugs.

I am opened minded and not very easily offended so ask me whatevers on yur mind.
