Hi - I'm an occasional CD who has only just come out and revealed to my wife that I have struggled with this compulsion for many years. I'm tall, with dark hair and green eyes and a fairly fit build. I started as a young teen dressing in sisters' clothes, like most CDs, but in my twenties I repressed that side of me entirely. It only emerged again in the last few years, when I took it up again very occasionally, after a stressful period in my life. Since then I dressed a few times in private, and spent some time discussing all of this with a therapist, who advised me to just come out and tell my wife if I could bring myself to do so. 3 years later, I finally got to a point where I felt I could tell my wife. She was a little bit stunned by the revelation, although not hugely surprised either as she always suspected I had some secret from her. She has since (only a few days yet) shown herself to be truly astonishing in her acceptance and support, even while she is presumably and understandably angry at how I never told her this for years, and she also doesn't want anything to do with this side of me. She seems to support me pursuing this privately if I need to do so, and that is more than I could have hoped from her after hiding this for so many years.
Anyway, that's my story. Signing up here to find support from other CDs and help us to understand and flourish in this situation, with acceptance and self-love.
