Well, here's a thing ........ I've been "outed" at work.
I knew there was a short video taken in my local pub in which I appeared but I had no idea how often these things are watched .... someone at work saw the video, recognised me and put two and two together .... et voilà, I had a bit of explaining to do when one of my chums wandered over and asked; "What's this I hear about you dressing up ?". Apart from that and a few sideways glances it's all been OK, which is just as I would expect. Being so public I knew it could happen, it was something I factored into the equation so, once again, I'm able to say that almost everyone doesn't give a stuff what you do as long as you don't try to lie about it, that just gets peoples' backs up.

Suffice it to say that Dee steps out regularly, the world outside is a vast one and there are horses and housemaids a'plenty to be alarmed .......... so who wouldn't !
I spend a couple of days a week in the company of the world and its neighbours ......... being bolder than a very large rock. The act of being out in daylight has left me convinced that ...... either most folk just don't care, or that they don't see ........ I suspect it's a bit of both. I try to be unobtrusive, not invisible, merely transparent and the gaze, if it does linger, almost immediately passes on. Bliss it is to be ignored.

A notice for the easily excitable amongst us;
The writer and custodian of this profile is only an "itsy-bitsy and a wee bit transgender" and even then only to the extent that he likes to, every once in a while, don raiments and underpinnings normally associated with the opposite gender.
He is still trying to work out what this means, but is more than happy to be a bloke.
How to explain? It was Camus who said; "Nothing is harder to understand than a symbolic work. A symbol always transcends the one who makes use of it and makes him say in reality more than he is aware of expressing."
First done by way of a jape ....... a dare actually, I was rather pleased with the results with every thanks to the talented Abbie SisterHyde who put me at my ease, did all the corrective work required and got me to sit (and stand) still long enough to get unblurry pictures.
Hmmm ....... the pictures. I'm blind as a bat and thought I might get a bit emotional if I saw myself during the process so it wasn't until I got home and mined my memory stick that I properly saw the results you see here. It was one very strange moment, looking at someone I knew rather well and yet who I'd only just met, if I said it wasn't overwhelming I'd be fibbing, that feeling of recognition.

Probably, like most blokes I'd never really looked at myself, when I'm shaving I'm looking at the razor, trying not to cut myself. If I've an eyelash in my eye I'm looking for it, not at myself. If I caught sight of myself in a mirror, or a reflection in a window it was fleeting and not something I'd sought. Yet here I was studying myself closely and thinking "Blimey ...... I could fall for you" ....... all rather disconcerting.
So, me ........ the fellow in a frock, what gives?
5 foot and 12 inches tall ...... the same height in heels, although my eyes are then a number of inches further from the ground.
Alarmingly, moving ever further into my 60's ......... a bit of a shock and easily old enough too know better, some would say.
66kg ...... only 20kg more and I'd be overweight, according to the NHS.
Normal 'bloke' build ........ hod-carrier shoulders, a waist-free zone and a rear-end remarkable only by its absence.
The hair is all my own and I've got a receipt somewhere to prove it.
I'm not on here looking for anything, other than a slightly different incarnation of myself every once in a while ....... although good company is always pleasing.
I'll end with a bit more from Camus, the renowned jotting goal-keeper;
"One recognises one's course by discovering the paths that stray from it."
