I am not unfamiliar with writing profiles and yet I still struggle with being able to sum myself up. It's not that I'm particularly deep or complicated, I just rarely introduce my whole self to someone in this way. Let me start with my basics.
I'm 5'7" I weigh more than I should, I have fairly short brown hair, blue eyes and conventionally black pupils. I work in a city centre store, I live in a city centre and I dislike extended periods of being in a city centre. I have two men's size 7 feet and I enjoy walking on them in the countryside and using them to propel my bicycle forward. In my everyday spare time I enjoy browsing the internet aimlessly, playing computer games and meeting up with my friends for communal versions of the above. That's basically the same, just with more booze.
Now to move on to why I'm on this site in particular.
I have, since the dawn of myself, wished I was on the other side of the fence. Not batting for the other team, but playing a completely different game. I'm sure you all catch my drift. I don't remember the first time I had such thoughts, but I just grew up knowing that whenever my family left me alone, I used that time to experiment with both my sisters and mothers clothes. Those experiments revealed some quite startling results. I very much enjoyed it. And here I am today basically doing the same, but with my own clothes and my own flat.
I like to think I'm fairly convincing as a girl, although less so now than I was about 5 years ago. I don't get to go out in public as much as I'd like to. I have been clubbing a few times in London, and they went... interestingly, but I would like to do it more with similar people and preferably a little closer to home.
As for my closet situation, I have tentatively stepped out with my parents and a few of my closest friends. Reactions have differed quite a bit. My parents were not impressed, as you might imagine. In fact at one point my Dad actually said "Can't you just be gay?" How times have changed. And how times will change in the future, trust me. But since the initial 'reveal' we have only really talked about it a handful of times and It's now become the large transgendered elephant in the room. I find it hard to approach the subject and they just have no desire to.
My friends, however, have been much more accepting. One going so far as to then proceed to go out with me. She and I are still together to this day. But the general consensus with the people I've told is that they accept it. Again we don't really talk about it, but it's less a transgendered elephant, more of an uninteresting lizard in the room.
