I am a trans woman (which means I am "full time"), after reaching the conclusion that I was transgender towards the end of 2017. Once I started to seriously contemplate transitioning it just felt right! I am finally on hormones! In the end, I had to follow a private route (with Gender GP). I have been on the waiting list with the Laurels GIC in Exeter for over two years, and there's still no light at the end of the tunnel. Can't wait to see what the next 2 to 3 years bring!
I love lingerie, stockings, heels, and dresses!! I will take any opportunity to dress up that I can find. I love getting dressed up for a night out!
I am currently single, but I'm not looking for a relationship at this moment, more looking for friendship. I DO NOT CAM! I mostly go for women, but I don't rule out guys. It more depends on the person and how they treat me than their gender, so I look for a personal connection first and foremost. Absolutely no one married or in a relationship, sorry. But I don't want that kind of drama.
I'm tall, 6'4" without heels! I have blonde hair, and blue eyes, in my early 30's with a fairly slim/athletic build, but I could afford to lose a little weight
If you'd like to know anything else, please don't hesitate to get in touch! xx
Update 11/08/20
The last couple of months have been busy for me. I have started a YouTube Channel. So far I have a couple of videos about the Gender Recognition Act reforms leaked by the Sunday Times, as I felt it needed addressing. But I am now working on some videos that are more in line with the kind I envisioned when I was planning to when I was considering making a channel.
I have also attended my first two protests in Exeter and Plymouth, speaking at the latter one. It was a nerve wracking experience, but also quite a thrill. The things that have happened since June 14th have been scary. The potential roll back of Trans rights is a worry. But the swell of support as well has been reassuring. Even the threat to us is larger than its been in over a decade, I've never seen more support.
Last Saturday I appeared at Pride in Plymouth's Pride Rewind event. Featuring in a video I had made with Not Alone for the video I made for the event. I also appeared in a Live Q & A at the end of the event.
Update 05/05/20
I am on hormones! Today is the second day of treatment having started yesterday. So it is a very exciting time for me! In the end, I had to follow a private option with Gender GP. I am still on the waiting list with the NHS but who knows when I might get seen by them. Please note, I do not blame those that work day to day in the NHS for the abysmal waiting times. I appreciate all the work they do, I really do! It's those who run the organising and funding that are at fault. Anyway, it's a very exciting time for me, and I cannot wait to see what changes happen over the next few years!
Update 10/02/20
So last Saturday I went to the Trans Festival hosted by Jecca Blac. I had a fantastic time. It was great to get to meet some of the people I had only messaged before. I got to meet Jessica Blackler, Carmen Gui & Chiyo Gomez. As well as representatives from Gender GP, London Transgender Clinic, Mermaids & L'Oréal. The panels which Chiyo hosted were amazing and really inspiring. It was great listening to people like Juno Dawson. I fully intend to return next year, which I hope will be bigger & better!
Update 26/01/20
I’m heading up to London for the Trans Festival being held by Jecca Blac next month, on 8th February. Is anyone else is going, let me know! I’d love to put some faces to some familiar names. I can’t wait!
I’m also undergoing Laser Hair Removal currently. It hurts like hell! But it is having some results, my facial hair is definitely finer than it was, but it will take several more sessions to get rid of all of it!
Update 26/06/19
I'm now legally Juliet!!!! So I've changed my name to Juliet Paige Williams now. I've now been out for over a year & while I've not necessarily loved every second, there's been some down days. I haven't regretted it for a second! If anyone is considering it and is scared, I urge you to take the plunge, it's such a relief!
Sadly, I haven't yet started on Hormone Therapy. I was just about in a position to start, then something happened beyond my control that wiped out all of my finances! So I'm back to square one sadly. I'm now grabbing every second of overtime I can get at work & I'm considering moving back into my parent's house. Not only so I can afford to start hormones, but also so I can start training to be a Counsellor.
Update 24/02/19
No update on a screen name update, still not find one I like. However, in other name change news, I am feeling the need to do my deed pole change soon. I'm feeling like I want to keep my initials the same, so PJW. I am currently thinking either Peta Juliet, which is the feminised version of my given name. Or Paige Juliet, as I quite like it. I will, of course, continue going by Juliet in general use.
Update 14/01/19
Happy New Year everyone!
I have just had my first Christmas and New Years as Juliet!!! I had a lovely time with my family and friends, and I hope you all did too! It was a pretty quiet Christmas with my family. My parents are still having a hard time with my name, but my brothers were both using my name in front of them which was amazing! We had some lovely food, lovely drinks, went for a family walk & I had a few nice pressies! For New Years I went down to the pub with some friends, wore a lovely dress (thanks to someone on here!) and I had a great night! Even if I didn't have anyone to kiss at midnight, maybe next year!
Lately, I find myself wondering about the length of the NHS waiting list and wondering about going private. I've been on the waiting list for 8 months now, & while I'm doing what I can, trying to eat healthier, lose weight etc, there's only so much I can do without hormones. When I heard the waiting list was 20 months I kinda accepted that. The NHS is under a lot of strain and their funds can only stretch so far. But with the increasing numbers seeking their help and the lack of increase in capacity things are only getting worse for us all. Which is why I've been wondering about starting my transition privately. With a little research, I can see the initial appointment will cost about £300, with further appointments being £150, I'll also have to travel to London. Which on my current budget is quite a bit. I'm wondering about maybe starting a Go Fund me page just to help in anyway, but it'd be entirely up to people, I wouldn't be begging for help. Anyway, these are only just thoughts at the moment. I'm also considering changing my screen name, Vice just doesn't seem right these days. So far a couple of options I’ve come up with are Fayre (means beautiful) & Lux (which means Light). Oh well, I'll try to keep you updated a bit more lol
Update 21/08/18
So I suck at this update thing!
Just over 3 months ago on my 30th I came out publicly as Trans woman. It was really scary, but I have a great circle of friends that have been really supportive. Works been great, had the “I’m so proud of you” & the “you’re so brave” speeches so many times. I know they were trying to be supportive, but I was getting a little sick of them towards the end, especially as I hate being the focus of attention. My family has been good for the most part. I recently received an invitation to my cousin's wedding, it meant so much to me that she addressed it to Juliet. My parents are still struggling to adapt to the change, but after 30 years I guess it can be hard to change the way you call someone, I’m sure they’ll get there. They haven’t cut me out like many stories I hear, so I guess that’s a good thing.
More recently I took part in Plymouth Pride 10 days ago. It was my first Pride experience and I had a blast! Taking part in the parade, listening to the speeches, learning loads of new things, meeting new people. We also got absolutely soaked! I guess the weather didn’t get the message. Ended up retreating into town, buying a whole new outfit (& some amazing boots!) grabbing some lunch. Before heading back to Pride once the rain had cleared. It came back again, but we didn’t care and just danced in the rain instead. But despite getting soaked, I had a great time!
I’ll try not to leave it so long until my next update. Xx
