So. Someone started GAHT recently...
Honestly, when I first joined this community it was out of curiosity more than anything but here we are... some years later and I have begun actual medical transition. I mean... holy shit. I confess I haven't been as active here in recent times - and crazily still not been out dressed... no... as me yet. But I'm feeling good and feeling excited for what's to come.
My name is Kacey and I am officially Trans! (little yay!)

So the big news is that i have been recently given a formal diagnosis of Gender Incogruence by a therapist specailsing in transgender care and my transition pathway has begun in earnest.
I have revealed this to a few close family and friends and have made initial steps to formalise it at work. I'm still taking things relatively slow, that being said I do have a consult next week with a clinician where we will discuss actual hrt! It's mental how things have progressed since first reaching out to a Gender Care team only last September.
A whole new chapter of my life is truly about to begin and I'm so excited and just a little nervous to see how it all plays out!
You may recognise me from previous profiles such as KristinaCole but… Times change. People change. I’ve changed… probably… a bit.
I feel more comfortable with who I am now, of where I am now, with who I could be should I finally allow it.
But in order to do that there is one thing I must do and that is to say goodbye to Kristina. The person that Kristina represented has helped me find a path that I am ready to follow. But in order to do that I have to let go of the past that Kristina is part of.
I’ve been trying to understand where I fit in all this for a long time. Probably looking in the wrong places but I stumbled upon something a few months ago and literally my egg cracked. Pretty much there and then. Been down a bit of a rabbit-hole since hoovering up as much information as possible, learning more about dysphoria and how it can affect a person and how it could be affecting me.
And now.
Here I am. Looking down a new path. One that has only opportunity. One not limited by past perceptions. It will not be an easy path. But I am ready to face that demon head on and say “It’s not me. It’s… er… oh shit, it’s me”.
Well briefly about me... I'm 178 cm tall, Slim, about 60kg with Green/Grey eyes, about to turn old this year eek!
I'm yet to venture out but I feel it's getting ever closer... A certain someone should really send me that invite ;-) ... oh yeah... if you still recognise me that is... subtle hint, we both share a love of Laksa x
