Been a while since I updated my profile... since my last update I've been to Sparkle and that included going out in the daytime for the first time, and meeting some people from work dressed! Sparkle was amazing - but I think I may go for a makeover next time - just to maximise my social time as I spent a good chunk of my time doing makeup - a struggle in the humidity! Met so many lovely people and really enjoyed the vibe in Manchester!
Having a little break for the summer, but I am becoming a bit of a regular at candy girls (social only!). I am plotting nights out in August (London woc?); September ("hen do" in Brighton); October (no plans yet!) November LFF (maybe shopping?!); and December (BNO).

I've been practicing my own makeup, and will be diying for the bno on 10/03. Packing my bag yesterday, I experienced something I haven't had in a while - nerves ahead of a big night as despite the practice this will be the first time I will have stepped out after putting on my own "face".Gulp.

Great night out with a couple of friends on Saturday 30/03. I was very open with my wife about wanting to go, but then realised it was Mother's Day the following morning, so was ready to accept that I couldn't go and would be on breakfast in bed duty. But again she was super cool and was fine about me staying away. I'm so much happier these days, and that makes for a happier household :)
I know I'm very lucky, and I have a special partner. A couple of girls have reached out to me to ask for my advice on the topic, and whilst I'm no expert I'll be happy to help and share my experiences.

I had a fab night at the BNO on Friday, great to meet up with friends and make new ones!
When I came home (with let's face it too much luggage for an overnight work trip...) I put my bags in my wardrobe and then had to go out. Whilst I was out my wife found and opened my bags... After we put the children to bed we proceeded to have a very long and emotional conversation.
She knows I've been going to counselling... but didn't know why... to make sense of all this (which was going really well... with me coming to the conclusion I'm not a weirdo... that I was conflicted and didn't want to keep lying to my wife... so was setting out how I was going to tell her) so anyway she could see it was eating me up, making me unhappy and she just wants me to be happy. She has been wonderful. Totally gets that it's part of me, didn't ask why (I still don't really know the answer to that one myself...) and is supportive of me to have my time.
I really couldn't ask for more she's amazing and I'm very lucky.

I had such a great night at BNO, met so many beautiful people - both on the inside and out. We truly have a very special community and I'm so happy to have found it :)

Exploring my femininity has been so positive for me. I've lost weight, improved my skincare regime, improved my self esteem and my outlook on life! I've found that my feminine side can help drive me forward to being a better more compete personand I'm loving it. I haven't been this happy for some time π
