This is my addition to the moments we all wished could be nuked from all timelines.
As somebody who is very selective about meets and likes to take time getting to know somebody, you would think that after a few years, on and off, speaking I'd have a fairly good grasp of the person I was speaking with. Finally deciding to meet and the hassle I went to doing so, you can imagine my utter shock, disappointment and anger at meeting a scruffy, unshaven wreck, who didn't even have the courtesy to spend some time on themselves in preparation. Moreso, since this
was one of their prerequisites.
Needless to say I was embarrassed and deeply disappointed in my own intuition and analysis. In hindsight, I ignored my own red flags in my conviction. But out of the ashes of my utter humiliation, my stubborness knows no bounds and will consider it a hard lesson learnt. The point I'm making? You really don't know who you're chatting to. Whilst my experience of this type is probably in a minority, a deranged person can hold their fake identity for longer than you think and this should be a warning to pay attention and question anything that might seem off.
