****14/02/2022**** none year 2021 so I'm not counting it! Life continues and learning of the sad loss of girls Ive met through our mutual love (obsession at times) of dressing makes their passing all the more sadder. I constantly think about everyone I have met hoping they are happy in themselves and that has a warming affect on my welbeing. love Lou xx

***15 April 2021*** 2020 seems to have overflown into another year January spent caring for sis February missed a very good friends Birthday not on purpose my minds on other things and probably will never get myself back... March another period of care and a Jab, April Easter gone and get up and go has got up and gone feeling lethargic not looking forward to May as 2 years since my loss.... Lou xx

***15 Apr*** Well nothing to be said this year was wall to wall covid my mental wellbeing up and down and a year on from my loss the end of the year can't come quickly enough, a year wasted a year of reflection and regrets lost my Dad in November aged 91 now we're left to care for my youngest sister so looking out for myself goes on the back burner. Thank goodness for friends and family... still in limbo Lou xx

***27 Dec 2019*** The end of the year is rapidly closing in, its been 6 months since my wife passed and they have been a blur, like a fast forward film, Ive laughed, cried (a lot), been up, been down, I still can't believe my wife is no longer here. Im stuck in a rut some times positive most times not, I don't seem to have purpose in my life now, will this pass?
The lead up to Christmas was a struggle, just did the basics and put on a happy face. now that its passed together with my first Birthday on my own (funny you can be surrounded by people family and friends but still feel alone) and the as the New year approaches I really want to start anew beginning, with my mental health closely followed by my physical health a priority. I truly hope 2020 gives me the opportunity to do so. I want to thank everyone who sent messages and gave me support when I needed it I am deeply thankful for your friendship. So to you have the best New Year you can have you are always in my thoughts love Lou xx
***16 June 2019*** a few days ago I said my final goodbye to my lovely wife... it has been a somewhat surreal 3 weeks since her passing and I hope we (my sons and I) provided a fitting, loving and dignified tribute to her and her life. For the friends and relations who came and made this day easier for us I thank them from the bottom of my heart.... there are still lots to sort out and our lives have changed forever, there is an emptiness in the house and in our hearts. My thoughts are with her always as we try to go on with our own lives..... Lou xx
***2 June 2019*** This is probably the hardest and saddest thing i have ever had to compose and share, there were a few who knew my lovely wife and more who knew of her, sadly she passed away after having a seizure at home then spent three weeks in hospital never recovering and lost her battle for life. Alzheimer's is an unforgiving desease it takes its toll on loved ones and carers alike. Life will never be the same for me, our children and the extended family she leaves behind. We have been overwhelmed with cards condolences and tributes for her. Now its time to grieve, as a family we are coping and talking lots, there are things to arrange and organise keeping us busy. Strange but the house seems so quiet now, sleep comes and goes and soon we'll be on our own, luckily we have good family and friends around us for support. Thank you love Lou xx
***20 Mar 2019*** The sun came out today so things look a bit brighter.... I realised that being depressed is really affecting my wellbeing.... it seems for every thought of persuading myself to do something positive my brain has a thousand reasons not to be and at present the excuses are winning..... My wife's quintessence.. god bless her... is slipping ever so slowly away... while her physical being is losing the battle for control of her actions.... this is her 8th year since her diagnosis not sure how many are left but its a path we travel together.... ***31/12/2018**** Well another year has passed so let me begin with wishing everyone a Happy New Year for 2019! I would again like to thank with all my heart those wishing me a Happy Birthday and to those who have, thought the year, asked after myself and my wife it is much appreciated thank you xx.
2018 has been a year of ups and down mostly downs from my wife and my own well-being. it is getting harder to get out with my wife now and my outings mostly consist of shopping for food with the occasional garden centre visit etc...
visitors coming to see my wife are mainly family with a few of her close friends visiting on a regular basis... theres not much conversation now as my wife's condition has left her mostly in a sleepy state except when she is agitated and then she prowls the downstairs of the house chuntering to herself with the occasional f**k which can be plainly made out. Night time is hard she is ready for bed by 8pm but doesn't get off to sleep until 1, 2 even 3am then she's awake 5/6am for the loo! I didn't realised just how much a carer does and believe me when I say that means everything! some times changing her clothes 2/3 times a day. when she is agitated she can get aggressive and very loud (I'm sure the neighbours think we're abusing her) although she's only 4'11" and about 8st wet through she has pushed me over a few times and she has a grip of iron (i'm lucky to still have all my fingers intact! lol)
I've got no idea how long we've got, just making the most of the time we have. Thinking about all the fantastic nights out and lovely people I have met makes me yearn for that life back, I realise each of you have your own problems and lives to live. Those I'm closer to know I love them and I respect, support and admire your life choices in anyway i can. ***26 December 2017*** Thank you everyone who sent me Birthday greetings, for awhile there I was taken away from my reality...... its so nice to keep in touch with everyone and those few who i was close to.... thank you for your continued heart felt support .... i really appreciate being able to 'off load' once in a while.... things here still on the downward slope.... I managed to snatch a few hours visiting my family... dad, brothers sisters etc... nice to catch up and see my nephews and nieces growing up... luckily my sister-in-law looked after my wife for the evening... ***14 September 2017*** This year is going by really quickly, Autumn already..... Well over 2 years since my last outing.. other than family get togethers... Leeds June 2015 was the last time I was out... anywhere!. My world consists of looking after my wife and household.... watching my wife slowly loose herself, daily 'tantrums' difficultly in expressing herself, frustration leading to aggressive outbursts screams and shouts.... struggling to dress, wash, climb / descend stairs, unsteady when walking, help with eating and drinking, hates having her head/face touched so difficult at washing times teeth and hair brushed... As a result depression for me has become a thing I live with daily, trying to get help is ongoing, looking after my own needs is becoming a serious priority.... only a fit and well me can cope now. I miss everyone and everything about my life out and about... I made some wonderful friends and met some brave lovely people, so heres to you all miss you love you.... Lou xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

***Feb 2017*** January and the new year passed so quickly Birthday's came and went... significant milestones achieved... now Feb is here life on my part is on 'hold' everything I now do is for my partner... other sad news, a good friend died of the big C and now I learn my best man (wedding) has liver cancer! life just isn't getting any better and I'd hoped 2017 couldn't get any worse than 2016... how wrong was I! ***Dec 2016*** Another year passed me by... still missing my friends and being out and about with everyone... well, here is as you may expect ... downhill, caring for someone 24/7/365 is tiring and demoralising, yet amongst everything we still find time to laugh, sing and look at life with a different view..... ***5 June 2015*** A Month I'd rather forget has passed..... new horizons... June is here and the weather is changing... LFF was a lovely night out and I needed to do it... stayed in the Marriott, managed to get a double room for £59 its convenient for all the LFF event venues and other Hotel chains are available! Met up with my good friend Leanna, we ate at Bella Italia ( nice food for a chain and staff very friendly) Usual venues attended, the fab guys at Fibre provided a BBQ which was nice... although there were quite a large number of girls out it seemed quiet.... I guess by now we are starting to spread our wings further-a-field.... it was lovely to see so many familiar faces and catch up... funny how you can just drop back into conversation after a months or more gap.... as usual a very enjoyable evening with good venues and fab company.... ***10 April 2015*** BNO love it or loathe it its a good place to catch up with friends, chill out with other girls or keep clandestine assignations....... again out with the irrepressible Angie V.... she's looking gorgeous and was on top form. We stayed in the Campanile (not my favourite Hotel, but handy for BNO) We met up with NickiRed, Yolly and Cassie, and new friend CharlieMac now added to our sisterhood...... BNO for me is meeting up with friends chatting, catching up, dancing taking pics, gossiping and people watching...... there's lots of other stuff happening if you catch my meaning..... New friends added... Ashleigh, Alison, Louise, and I'm sure there was a Rachel in there too! Nice to see Kazzi, Stef and Ooooh so many others!!...... not a bad night, a long way to travel but worth it to catch up with Angie.... lol The place (Pink Punters) is improving more bars, cafe and staff.... just hate that dry ice effect and the smoking area needs to be completely roofed..... ***03 April 2015*** Well March went by with no Louise time.... the black dog seemed to get the better of me... but thats a whole new chapter.... April LFF went off very nicely thank you.... although close to Easter there were plenty of girls about... the Cosmo Hotel opened up a second bar... shock... Horror!, Fibre has refurbished the top floor bar and toilets looks nice but now we've lost out chill out room! (TGirls never satisfied I hear you say!! lol) For me it was a quiet night still not my usual upbeat perky self.... a long way to go yet it seems.... When I happy with myself I will be happier.... Any way it was lovely to room with Leanna and catch up on things.... nice to seen Kate, Katie, Kay, Rachel, Angela, Cherry, Steff, Cindy, Tim, Alana, Rachael and all the other girls I spoke to! Well I Departed earlier than usual... after visiting the New Penny for the first time in 4 years (still not to my liking!) Hoping to get out again in April and build on my sanity! ****13 Feb 2015*** Well things must be looking up second nightout and a long drive down to Milton Keynes and Pinks... although the venue is LBGT the 2nd friday in the month is given over to TGirls and related hangers on as well as "Jo Public' and there were quite a few in on the night.... Probably due to the England women's football team being in town.... as a result you couldn't get a hotel room in the Double tree so we settled for the other Hilton at Kents Hill Park... still a bargain £50 double room with breakfast included! I met up with Angie who'd I'd not seen since Sparkle last summer! We all met in the Camp bar (Campanile Hotel - opposite Pinks- (PinkPunters)) had a chat and a drink then as we walked over the road it started to rain! Yuk!!.... so into Pinks... entry is now £8 the drinks still expensive but at least while you're outside most of it is under cover! lol I'm beginning to thing its gradually going to price itself out of many-a-TGirls budget...... It was really good to catch up with Angie and she looks really well and on top form! So a good night with lots of girls to catch up with Paula, Kay and meeting other gorgeous girls to numerous to mention (or is my memory failing me!lol) of course lots of pics taken and a safe return home on Valentines day! ****06 Feb 2015*** Phew!.... at last finally a night out in 2015.... it has taken so long I was almost nervous! lol.... A lovely night with terrific friends.... Some new places visited along with some regular venues... This time I managed to book a room in Mal Maison with a great deal on the room rate... Sharing with Leanna who I'd not see since December LFF... We started as usual at the Cosmo where we met up with Gina and Emma... onto Bourbon 51 bar before going to The Cattle Grid restaurant (just on the other side of the Corn Exchange) for a meal, well worth a visit nice food good staff and friendly clientele... then onto The Calls Social Club and a quick first visit to Bar very young person orientated! lol... We then headed to SmokeStack and met with Katie,Angela, Kate, Rach and Jane..... There were lots of girls out spread around the numerous local venues each girl passing one another as we wandered from bar to bar. As usual the Loft was free entry for TGirls (Simon you're a star!) Fibre provided 2 rooms from the main area along with food and DJ (again many thanks ) So my first outing of 2015 lasted 6-7 hours and I really had a good night.. so here's to next weeks visit to Pinks to see my good friend Angie.... ****20 Dec 2014*** Last Outing of 2014... Christmas Party at Rachel and Gary's... Had a really lovely time, relaxing and with great company..... Rachel you're a star! great home cooked food, interesting and somewhat revealing conversation... a bit of a dance to cheesy music... drama and seeing friends.. what more could you ask for! ****05 Dec 2014*** The last LFF of 2014 and possibly the biggest gathering of Girls in Leeds this year! Trying to book a restaurant late in the week at this time of year was a nightmare unless we wanted to eat 9.30 or later..... we ended up eating in the Cosmopolitan with Jacqui, Sophie Rosemary and John, the food well, was ok nothing special (note to self... book early next time!) Hotel prices were through the roof for one night people were paying £110.... Over 150 girls out spread all across the pink triangle! Normal haunts sampled (should have gone further out) all were chocker! Caught up with Gina, Emma and Rachel B... Rachel K, Kate, Angela, Charlotte, Jane, Katie, Heather... but lots and lots of other girls and admirers out and it was nice to see them and have a chat.... Kerry and Fiona of the Leeds crew, the Northeast Ladies (Happy Birthday Cherry x), Janice, Helen and Kay lovely to catch up.. I must say time flew and it was 2.40 before I knew it...... this time I was staying in Roomzzzz a lovely studio apartment managed to get to bed by 4am and up at 9am... so another good night out with some fabulous company..... may miss January's LFF (2nd Jan) but hoping to get out in January somewhere in the country! lol So Merry Christmas to everyone.. ****21 Nov 2014*** Nottingham Invasion nightout..... Stayed at the Best Western Westminster Hotel, met up with Gina Emma and Suzy in the hotel bar then taxi into Nottingham (well it was rain... quite heavily! We ate at Chiquito (Mexican place) then we had a nice stroll to New Foresters. We met other girls at the Foresters, Bobby and Sally amoung them..... then onto JusJus a nice bar with a good eclectic mix of music and clientele (similar to Smokestack) I had a good dance, the locals warmed to to us (danced with a lovely little blond lady). Our next venue was NG1 a 5 min walk, the club asked for iD (photo ID!) some kind of council initiative but a bind for us! Probably try a different venue next time! Typical club very bright light show not at all safe if you have epileptic tendencies... All to soon it was 3am Bobby and Mrs Bobby gave us a lift back to the hotel got unready.... asleep by 4.35am! ***07 November 2014*** Well Autumn is definitely here colder wetter weather and autumn colours , this months LFF a bit quieter than usual but a really enjoyable evening... gotta say its always about who you're with ... not how many! Leanna decided to come and she is always good company... I met up with Gina, Emma Bobby and their respective partners we dined at the chypra thingy Thai restaurant on Swinegate lovely meal, then we headed to Blayds and Viaduct all night we had a laugh took pics, drank and laughed some more - bumped into Steff and Jayne in Viaduct so we set off out to look for Leanna and bumped into Kate Katie Angela and Rachel in Fibre again laughed, pics, drank... put the world to rights..... time seemed to flash by and still not found Leanna. We headed over to the Loft said hi to Tracy the bouncer and Guy the asst manager and up to the dance floor... yeah Leanna was there we chatted drank, pics, danced then late as it was headed back to the Hotel.... after an incident on the way back Leanna had a grazed knuckle and grazed the back of here head (a good deed gone wrong!) still a good night made even better by the company... thank you all! see everyone in December....... hugs Lou xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
****31 Oct 2014**** Halloween night and I managed to get out and about in Leeds with Rachel.... Well I must say lots of fabulous costumes.... hundreds of Zombies!.... Scary clowns, Axe/Knife murderers, corpse brides scary characters from fables and fairy tales, horror and scary movies..... what an absolute wonderful effort the young people (and some oldies) made... Makes you proud to be Yorkshire! lol xx Anyway the town was packed as were the clubs and bars (well it was also payday!) We saw Rachel and Katie in Cosmopolitan, then we headed out onto the affray only getting into 4 bars before we headed home via the scenic route!..... Tired today but enjoyed the nightout! ****18 Oct 2014**** My first visit to Brighton.... ever! Its a lot bigger that I thought and was looked a very pleasant town...... We stayed at the New Madeira Hotel (home to the chunkymonkey... erm sorry the Funkyfish club...) Parking is a premium in Brighton... we were lucky to find parking close by at £10 for 24 hours , which in the parking stakes (Leeds and Manchester) puts Brighton.. on an even par! The Hotel is on the sea front opposite the Brighton wheel.... the rooms were (well mine was) very small... especially for the price! (£120 per night incl breakfast) Well that said I shared with Millie.... really lovely girl I had only actually met her in person that day... we only chatted online previously... Well we met Cassie and Yolly in the Hotel bar before a 10 min walk to the restaurant a lovely Italian next to the Brighton Pavilion.... after the meal we wandered over to the Pier for a few pics then onto a Bear Bar (thats a pub with hairy bearded gay men! lol) from then up to Legends then onto FunkyFish..... there are lots of other venues but time was against us! It was lovely to meet lots of other girls down for the Brighton Girls weekend, nice to a few faces I recognised from around the country..... Brighton is a great night out and I will def be doing it again.... 2 nights next time for sure! The only down side ... from my point of view is the traveling 4.5 hours each way... (luckily cost of fuel was the same in Brighton as Leeds).... ***17 Oct 2014**** So..... after a relatively incident free journey of 4.30 hours I arrived at the Travelodge in Sunbury and checked in... £37 for a double room not bad... Cassie and Yolly arrived later owing to heavy rush hour traffic on the M3...... So my first time at Candy Girls... didn't really know what to expect.... I heard various tales but just had to find out for myself! lol We had a drink in the Tranny lodge bar(friendly staff and no hassle) before ordering a taxi for CG.... Only a five minute drive and we came inyo an industrial estate.... one unit of which was CG... two red lights, one either side of the door... well just a reminder of things to expect I suppose! Entry was £15 (if you want to be a regular attendee you can join for free and receive a membership card!) a bit steep for me but as a one off OK..... I had guided tour of the various rooms and facilities.... (see pics on Flickr) .... two floors, 2 sort of dance floors.... toilets up and down stairs, reception, dungeon room ground floor and 2 'Dark' rooms (where anything goes) and an outside smoking area.... Upstairs bar (no licience so you brink your own alcohol, soft drinks £1.50... water free..... there are 4 or 5 other rooms upstairs for Voyeurs and a room for 'live' streaming of... well what ever is going on!... This was a special night for CG its 5 or 6 anniversary there was some entertainment laid on , a singer and fire eater and fire juggler... looked good... the singer ... bless..... So what did I think.. mmm.... its a niche clientele lots of 'Admirers" a strange bunch..... Sex and 'goings on' in the room, voyeurism... and lots of other isms...... some girls go because its a 'safe' place to dress, meet, dance. chat, drink and behave outrageously... if thats what you want then CG's is your kinda place. ****04 Oct 2014**** Well October is here and the nights are drawing in.... but its been unusually mild weather for the Autumn (erm thats Fall if your not from Europe) Leeds on the other hand was hot hot! 100 plus girls out on the town all having an extremely wonderful evening........ Lots of new faces (must start wearing my glasses more often!) lovely to see all my friends and being out as me and sharing the evening with them is so relaxing. As usual the venues were good, very friendly as were 99% of the public (just the odd drunken student)... Lovely to see Lesley down from Scotland, Paula up from the south, Janice from the midlands and of course my lovable girlfriends from... well all over the place! Try going just out of the usual bars and found a fabulous bar in Hurst Yard... 51 Bourbon.. the music was just right a mix of 50's 60's 70's original artists.... good spirits and beer with a carefree relaxed ambience........ while back on the main route the bars were groaning with the number of clientele.... a very merry night was had by all... next time it would be lovely to see you.... Will be trying to book the Marriot I think the Cosmopolitan, although extremely handy for the venues and offers a degree of safety for 'newbies' or first time visitors, is getting shabby and over priced..... ***12 Sept 2014**** Spent a night out in Milton Keynes.... Well Fenny Stratford really at Pink Punters Club..... Its a long drive and what the holdups and road works on the M1 it seems twice as long! Met up with good friend Leanna and Cindy... we ate at a lovely family run Chinese restaurant before popping into The Campanile Bar for a drink, then headed over the road to Pinks.... The Venue has changed... for the better... but we were disappointed with the extotionate drinks prices in comparison with other TG friendly venues in the North! Anyway Music wise ok.... (still use far too much smoke effect for me).... food... the usual early morn rubbish... but you can grab a coffee.... which for me is a bonus! Lots of girls out, venue security excellent saw lots of faces I recognised took a few pics chatted danced and took more pics! Lovely to catch up with girlfriends and finally put faces behind the names! Hotel wise I use anywhere but the Campanile my favourite is he DoubleTree by the MK Stadium...... its cheaper and more luxurious than the Camp and the savings made will fund your taxi to and from Pinks! Our verdict is.... if you've not been before ... go enjoy the nights experience....but if, like me you've outgrown it there are better nights out to try but always keep it in mind for a 'once a year' outing! ***05 Sept 2014**** Wow September already, daylight leaving us dress getting shorter and more girls enjoying the scene..... This months LFF was certainly busy... Leanna and I stayed at the Marriott, just a stones throw from all the action... I met up with the 'Ladies that Dine' club and we dined, this month it was the Thai (Chypr***** whatever!) lovely meal it was too! Nice to see everyone Rosie, Sophie, Heloise, Claire, Simone and Jacqui. xx The venues were full (although a little quiet early doors) the night was a bit humid so no jacket needed... There were girls from far and wide this month Angela and Katie returning visits hope you enjoyed yourselves! ***22-24 Aug 2014*** Bank Holiday is here and what better to spend a few days than in that seaside town called Blackpool famous for fresh air and FUN!!! Had a really fab time in Blackpool with my good friends Leanna and Lyndsay..... we stayed at Scarlets a lovely B&B on Lord St, our Hostesses Jenni and Sarah really do look after you.... thank you for a lovely stay! xx
On friday evening we wandered along into town eating in the Duke of York and Saturday ate at a lovely Italian called Tiramasu who made us most welcome! Saturday we walked into town strolling along the promenade stopping to take a few piccies and then had a coffee soaking up the west coast sun! We headed back to rest then get changed for our night out. We went to Funny Girls on saturday night... definitely worth a visit its a very exuberant show very high energy! We mixed nicely with the other patrons mainly female!) again getting loads of requests for pics and collected lots of kisses along the way! Later we popped into Peek-a-booze for the Christmas Party (yes Christmas Party!), Roxy's, Mardi Gras to see Kitty, Flying Handbag2 and finally KAOS where we bumped into JoJo. The weather was brilliant the whole time, the people are (mostly - 3am young men the worst for drink!)) friendly as were the Venues. Definitely Blackpool is a good night (weekend) Out there are numerous places to stay that are TG friendly and I can recommend Scarlets and there are lots more venues than I mentioned! ***01 August 2014** First night out since Sparkle....... LFF (Leeds First Friday) was relaxing, hectic, loud, gentle, brash, exuberant and calming all at the same time!... Lots of girls out enjoying the odd bit of drizzle on the outside but welcoming deluge on the inside of the venues!... A number of LFF virgins and first time ever outers! Lots of new faces and some girls I'd not seen in a while and Maisy I'd not seen for 3 years!.... where does the time go to!.... Again I had a good night, not rushed (ask Leanna! lol) nice and relaxed just seemed to drift from one bar to the next happily chatting and taking in the sights and sounds of a typical LFF night...... This time I stayed in the Marriott Hotel which is comfortable and great for that photo opportunity! Like some of the other LFF hotels is CD friendly and only 100 yards away from most of the LFF venues and restaurants (the price was good too... just book early!)..... Thanks again to Fibre for providing music and food in the upstairs Bars (x2) and Queens Court for free entry into the Loft and cheap drinks.... ***14 July 2014**** 3 nights and 4 days at Sparkle........ I could sleep for a week! Sparkle is such a hectic period..... you barely get there and its time to come home!! The event has grown since my first visit in 2009 and with this year being the 10th Anniversary it was bigger and better than previous years.... I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone involved who made 2014 SPARKLE a really Fabulous long weekend! ..... We arrived late thursday afternoon with just enough to get some shopping in before getting ready to hit Canal Street that night. There are some excellent Bars, Bistro's and Clubs on and around Canal Street ideal for a partaying weekend. Thursday is becoming a pre Sparkle Chill night where you can explore the vicinity and pick out you choice of bars and restaurants before all the 'mayhem' of the Sparkle proper. Friday day is promenading down Canal Street meeting and drinking and chatting to faces you can now put a name and personality too!... Friday Night Streets full bars full and music echo's in the air... a chance to try out your new shoes... new dresses.... new well everything!...... Again this year Linda (Leaa Sardi) organised her tombola and cake stall raising money for Macmillan Nurses a well worth cause.. raising £300+ on the day and more donations coming in! Well done to Linda and everyone who took part........
Saturday day very events-full shopping in Manchester.. a must!..... streets full, music mayhem.... stalls.... information and gorgeous girls as far as the eye can see! Saturday Night... the big night for Sparkle goers.... every bar, club, restaurant and tea room full! even the rain didn't dampen our resolve!.... Well girls still getting back to the hotels into the early hours... dawn was well into its thing! The worst thing about Sparkle is the packing and coming home!! (but a least you get a good nights sleep in a comfy bed! It was lovely to see all my friends and I think this year I made some more... every one seemed friendly.... door, bar, waiter-ing staff, Police and especially the lovely TG family of which we are happy members! ***13 June 2014**** Friday the 13th, did it put some girls off or was it the football? Mmmm a very quiet night both at the Camp and inside Pinks.... even the M1 on the way down seemed quieter that usual! I picked up Leanna in Chesterfield on the way down and we finally got to the hotel around 3pm. We decided to eat in the hotel so we dressed and ate, took a few pics then went back to the room and changed for the night at Pinks (BNO). Again a quiet night not as many out as usual for BNO... I enjoyed the night and now Frank (the owner) has made changes to the venue its more enjoyable, I especially enjoyed the live Band... they were really really good! I also like the addition of the inside cafe area, so I can grab a coffee at any time! lol Leanna and I (well me mostly) took a fair few pics chatted to a few girls and flitted from one area to another...... I only wondered why all the fires were lit? ***06 June 2014**** June already... where has the year gone! Tonight I was mostly getting ready at Rachels, which was good...... thanks Rach... We drove into Leeds and met up at Cosmo bar and onto Fibre, Smokestack, Viaduct, Queens Court, the Loft and finally back to Cosmo. The usual haunts lots of girls out in their summer dresses tonight too! Leanna was back from Gran Caneria Pride and obviously had a fabulous week! As always at LFF it was lovely catching up with old friends, Emily and Rosemary, Lola, all the Rachels and Racheals, Simon, Jane and numerous other lovely lovely friends.... ***02/03 May 2014*** No restaurant tonight but as we were staying in Roomzzzz we ate in the apartment before setting out......May LFF busy busy.... lots of girls out and starting to spread out around the lower Briggate area into the 'straight' bars......(horrible we have to describe bars as Gay/straight) Not feeling myself tonight (you could tell by how few pics I took! lol) but meeting Leanna and after all she's gone through recently I decided my lot wasn't that bad after all! Rachel was my escort and we wandered around aimlessly bumping into and chatting to friends we'd not seen in ages, lovely to see Rachel Evans, Angela Williams, Kate and Rachel, Jayne, Jilly, Nicole to name but a few trying to expand our comfort zone we decided to try an area just outside Lower Briggate behind the Corn Exchange the Mavern Bar lead by Wayne and Simone off we hobbled.... it was packed (as were all the Bars tonight) on the way back we called in at the Calls Social Club amongst others... still a good night and managed to get to bed by 3.45! *** 04 April 2014 *** Last minute decision to go to LFF as my other plans had fallen through....... glad I went, to say it was a different LFF night for me would be an understatement! lol I had arranged with Heloise to tag onto her dinner arrangements and met her, Rachel and Mia (lovely to meet you) in the Cosmo bar around 7.30, from there we caught a taxi to the restaurant, a lovely Thai place at the other side of the city by Millennium Sq. We met the rest of our party in the restaurant.... it was lovely to see Andrea, Michelle and Trish again and meet her other half Maggie too! The Place was as you would expect and we were treated very well. After 2 hours or so we wandered back to the LFF scene through the streets of Leeds, briefly calling at The Living Room bar on Greek St, the Slug and Lettuce and finally got a drink in Bar 1871 (obviously taking copious amounts of pics along the way! lol) Funny thing.. if you're not there when it starts (LFF) you miss lots of friends and girls you know and only find out they were there by catching the pics they post on fb the day after! lol xxx Of course there were lots of other easily recognisable faces I chatted to.... Mandy, Mandy, Jodie, Rachel, Rachel, Rachel, Rachel, Tanya, Jemma, Cindy, Cindy, April, Emma, Helen, Cherry, Sarah,Sue, Vicky, Kerry etc.... you get the picture! lol also to all the door staff, bar staff and mangers/owners that keep things running smoothly and safely for LFF a really... *** 30 March 2014*** Back at Abi's there was just enough time (4 hours! lol) for me to shower have a meal and get ready again for a night out at the Magic Theatre in the Rivoli Ballroom, Brockley.... Its been ages since I was Last at MT and its lost none of its luster,,,, there was the usual eclectic mix of clientele with costumes ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous! The music was great and the Band thumped out there set of old tunes second to none! The cabaret was user friendly and customer participative! Well we love to show off once in a while!..... Again both Abi and I didn't know what to expect or who would be there but we both thoroughly enjoyed the evening... we chatted to old friends, met and dance with new ones and got photographed with anyone and everyone! shame the clocks went forward.... could have done with the extra sleep in the morning! Thanks to the new friends I made....... it was lovely to meet you all... see some of you soon! *** 29 March 2014*** Never thought when I set off for London on Friday I'd be walking on Southend Pier today with my friend Abi and the sun beating down, with a slight offshore breeze keeping us cool... but I was and it did! lol Had a fab time wandering round, had a coffee on the end of the pier but we caught the train back as anyone who knows the pier it must be the longest in the world!! lol sauntered around the town before a nice drive back until the road got a bit congested on the way back. A mixture of class, fashion highs and lows, faux pas, inspiration, dedication but a lovely friendly atmosphere and time to chat, reflect, explain, remember, meet, greet, forget, forgive, recall, listen, talk, dance, drink , buzz and feel comfortable with who you are or want to be. ***14 February 2014*** Valentines Day at BNO, this had been organised before the horrendous weather and after a really terrible drive down the weather calmed from torrential rain to blowing a gale! We stayed in the Campanile (not my favourite hotel, but handy for Pinks) Met up with Angie, who'd I'd not seen since last September and Leanna (who I'd seen last week in Leeds! lol) We ate in the Camp......... the food is not very good but the menu has "fast" food and curries! Again Pinks is a good place to meet and catch up with friends have a laugh, chat, drink dance and........ well make up your own ending! Quite a good turn out but not as full as I've seen it. Lots of faces you might recognise from Flickr, CHIX or face book, had some lovely chats and some indepth discussions.... it was lovely to see Jane, Bev, Hannah, Charlotte, Jess, Sophie, Nicole, Sammi, Lynds, Sarah Jane, Claire, Alison..... in fact lots and lots of girls (I love a chat!) Pinks, the venue, has been refurbished although the outside area roof sound like it might rip off at any moment! There is now an indoor Diner and you can grab a coffee at anytime! the smoke from the fires still gets in your eyes (sounds like a cue for a song?....) the music was ok the prices average. The entry price is now £8 which includes cloak room for your coat. It was windy, cold and wet.... but a really good and enjoyable night! **** 7 February 2014*** Leeds this weekend was windy and a bit damp (but nothing like the Southwest!) Met up with Abi who I'd not seen since Sparkle 13..... She's had quite a turbulent time but I feel things are slowly piecing themselves together... I hope so she deserves a better future! As usual started off LFF with afternoon shopping then on to getting ready... we ate at the nice Indian restaurant again... I can recommend this restaurant for its good food and friendly atmosphere! There are lots of really lovely girls who do what we do and I love mixing with them all! My diner guests included Heloise, Sophie, Jacqui, Abi and Trish all of whom I had met before... it was nice to chat to Karen and Vida and make the acquaintance of Sarah and Claire from Scotland.. all really lovely people. A good turn out tonight, the weather putting of a few but still lots of girls out. The usual watering holes were sampled, chats and hugs for the door staff and bar managers, waves and kisses for the DJ's.... Again LFF was a good night out, meeting friends making new ones, chatting and taking the odd photo is why I mostly do this.... it is, for me, a great social life.......... ****3 January 2014**** Seems strange writing 2014 but I'm sure I'll get used to it! I wonder what the year holds in store for Louise?......... Well my first outing went off quite nicely thank you..... Leeds is always a good night out and although Dec LFF was wall to wall TGirls January was a more laid back night... still around a hundred girls, partners and admirers out around the scene. It was easier to get served, get a meal, dance and cross the road! You never know who will attend LFF from newbie TGirls making their own and LFF debuts to long time dressers also making their LFF debuts! Its was lovely to see Amy who I first met many years ago in Manchester but who had never got the chance to come over to Leeds and it was lovely to finally briefly chat to Katie Smith, very nice to catch up you again x It was great to be out again and the chill out back at the Cosmo bar is a must before retiring to bed! ****13 December 2013*** BNO (Pink Punters) The event was well attended... The Camp (with all its faults) was convenient and packed. I stayed at the Premier Inn literally 5 mins away by car, would have preferred the Double tree Hilton but just a tad expensive that night. BNO was full standing room only!... probably just slightly more girls attended as were at Leeds the previous week. If you're shy, just starting out or finding your way around the TG scene go its a good night...... downside (in winter) is the smoke from the coal fires. which gets in your eyes clothes and up your nose! and then the dry ice/smoke machines they persistently use in the clubbing areas..... not good for photo's! lol Still I go for the social scene I've made some really good friends and some fascinating acquaintances its always a good night catching up with them all! Meeting up with Cassie and Yolanda meeting Simone, Linda, Stacy Louise catching up with Bev and Hannah, Rachel, Sami, Roxy and lots of others!! Overall its a 'good' from me Hugs Lou xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
****6 December 2013**** LFF Dec 2013 an absolute hoot! Wall to Wall TGirls,Partners and Admirers only one prob it took ages to get served!! lol Lots of new faces lots of first and second timers lovely to see LFF playing a part in bring so many girls into the world by providing a relatively safe environment!
To organise such a successful event takes a lot of work behind the scenes so my thanks and continued support goes to those who've negotiated with the local bars and hotels to offer free entry to venues, free use of rooms, free food at Fibre, free DJ, reduced prices on drinks, hotel deals giving reduced rates for single and double rooms! Hope you each have a wonderful Christmas and New Year! xxxx
My own night went well or did it? Its still taking me 3-4 hours to get ready....... not that thats bad but I usually arrive later than I had planned and I hate to keep my friends waiting...... sorry ladies! ..... Now.. we tried a new place to eat, a lovely Indian Restaurant, the food was excellent washed down with a bottle of wine the place was friendly and the price really great value! I would recommend this restaurant to any LFF attendees. After a lovely meal Sophie Jacqui, Heloise and myself wandered around 3-4 bars before I went to look for Jane, Lesley and the shy and retiring Mandy. Caught up with them in Fibre took a few pics and moved on to Viaduct by now Leanna had found us to so we headed over to Queens Court to chat to Simon the Manager. Needless to say on a night where so many girls are out wandering the streets you can miss seeing friends but the upside is you bump into new ones! So hi Fiona, Jody, Lola and everyone else who I chatted to! lol ( Sorry girls memory not what it used to be, to many names to remember!!) The night being a success we retired to our room for a coffee and chat about diverse subjects such as TGirl longevity to Scottish Independence! ****15 and 16 November 2013**** Well first outing for 6 weeks and I really needed to get out! Met Leanna in Blackpool we stayed at Scarlets a really fab TV friendly hotel rooms are 2 share £25 each B&B or single occupancy £30 B&B. Friday night we walked into BPool on the way ate at a lovely Italian very friendly. We headed for Roxy's and onto Mardi Gras then Flying Handbag and Kitty's finally Peeka Booze before heading back to Scarlets... the night was a quiet affair Kitty was on form (not for the faint hearted! lol) Saturday after an hearty breakfast Leanna and I had a trip round the shops stopping only to have luch at the Duke of York pub! Sat night we again ate at the Duke before going down to Roxy'shich was busy and they were expecting the Strickly Come Dancing crowd in later! We tried the Galleon Pub where we chatted to two scottish Blokes on a day trip from Glasgow!! They were nice enough to buy us a drink! lol From there we went to the Flying handbag and on to Funny Girls to see the Christmas Show.... which was OK..... We again went to Roxys by now it was heaving a complete contrast to friday! (Never did see any Strictly crowd!) ater getting back to Kitty's and handbag we popped into a local fish bar for a bit of food by now it was late so we got back to Scarlets for some sleep!! I know, I know its a hellova long way to go for a night out! ;lol but worth the traveling to meet up with Cassie Yolly and Nadine. the Journey down took rather longer than I thought over 5 hours.. due to road works on motorway, queues into Birmingham and Southampton and a rather bad smash on the M40 (hope there were no fatalities). The Ibis was neat and tidy and parking easy, We met in the foyer had a drink a pic then taxi to where we met up with Nadine. The London is a nice bar, we sat outside (still warm even tho'it was October) had a drink then wandered over the road to the Casino where we had a lovely meal in the restaurant. We spent a good 3 hours in the Casino placed a bet on roulette, listened to the entertainment (I think we became part of that when we were wandering around! lol We ended up back in the London which was heaving, we met 3 or 4 local girls who were very kind and told us all about the local scene. Finally left there at closing after 1.30. Nadine drove us back to the Ibis (got lost but got there in the end) Back at the hotel, The Nightporter at the Ibis was very accommodating we sat in the bar and had a coffee then another! more guests came in with McDonalds and we got chatting had a laugh and took pics! Good night out Southampton I'm sure there's more to see! Good news only took me 4 hours to get back no holdups! (downside I only had 3 hours sleep set off at 7.30am!) and I was home for Lunch! ***13/14 Sept 2013*** The BNO (Big Night Out) weekend was an excuse to indulge in my favourite pastime! Being Louise is close to my heart I love being Louise. Friday was the girly night at Pinks we Lots of girls and lots of fun, Saturday day time, I love dressing in the day, driving, shopping, having a coffee, things we take for granted! Saturday night we ate at a little Chinese restaurant in the village before heading on to Pinks. Sat night was Hollywood Glam night so lots of dressing up and costumes, all to soon the weekend was over and time to head back home. It was wonderful to catch up with the girls especially Angie and Z, Leanna, Jane, Gina and Emma and not forgetting my good friend Jane Mary Gee! **** 26 August 2013**** August Bank Holiday weekend in Blackpool and the sun shone! We stayed at Scarlets Hotel... a wonderful B&B share a room and its £25 each B&B on your own and its £30 B&B a hearty breakfast too! Your gracious hosts are Jenny and Sarah (www.trannylodge.co.uk - 01253 317640) 5 min walk from Funny Girls.
It was a quiet friday around the pink venues we ate at the Duke of York then headed on to Flying Handbag, Roxy's and Kitty's, even Kitty's wasn't packed even though she is wicked (not heard jokes and banter like that since I was unfortunate to see Bernard Manning back when)! Mmmm still Saturday Day came and we went shopping in downtown Blackpool had a coffee and took a few pics by the tower! We lost Leanna so hiked back to the Hotel in time to start getting ready again for the night out!
Saturday night was different again places full venues buzzin'! it was good to get out with Angie and Leanna, we saw a fabulous show at Funny Girls, we were entertained at Roxy's and made friends in Flying Handbag we visited other bars and had a throughly fab time! ****4 August 2013**** LEEDS PRIDE, this too seemed quieter than normal, not as many stalls on the Calls or in Millenium Sq, still all the bars were packed but you could get served in the Cosmo and Baracoa! The parade was long and winding so much so we decide to leave and have a coffee in Nero's! called into Miss Selfridges to shop! A good day out and it didn't rain untill later on! ****2 August 2013**** August already.... where is the year going!! LFF was quieter than usual so were the venues visited maybe it was because it was Pride weekend and the school holidays. Still 60 plus girls and lots of partners an admires made it. Cafe Italia has a warm welcome and is just a stroll from the Cosmopolitan. From the Cosmo on to Blaydes where there was a party of White Rose Bears! (Big hairy gay men! lol) The place was packed probably the only place that was! ViaDuct, Smokestack, Queens Court, Fibre, Baracoa and the Loft were quiet but it did mean you could get served quicker! lol Anyway September LFF maybe busier, Hugs Lou xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
****12 to 14 July 2013**** I enjoyed Sparkle 13, because of the company and the friends you catch up with and make while you're there. It was the warmest Sparkle I've been to.. not a hint of rain during the 4 days in Manchester! (some record? lol) We stayed at the Atrium, but also no air-con only a fan too circulate the warm air! Still the accommodation was pleasant enough. Day 1 we met at Taurus for Linda's charity cake and tombola raising funds for Macmillan... a worthy cause. out at night with Jane, Abi, Leanna, Emz, Rosie, Kay and ..... well lots more ate at Sanctuary on Sackville St another Bar to add to the numerous ones to visit! Popped into the Molly House to see Yvonne and the other girls entertaining as part of the Irish Sparkles, moved from bar to bar bumping into friends, chatting and drinking as much water as I could!
Day 2 up early to get ready for the day out, summer dress code and sunglasses! Coffee at Via chatting to friends, lovely to see the Leeds girls and eventually making our way to the party in Sackville Gardens.... good music lovely weather and lots of stalls as well as wall to wall TGirls, what else could you ask for! x The night was as warm as the one before some fabulous dresses out tonight and the street was heaving bars full and tonight the restaurant was Velvet which was a bit hot and stuffy! Nice food tho'.... taking a turn on Richmond street and adding a few bars we missed yesterday we eventually end up at Via (it was cooler than most places! A late night never got to Naps or New York New York!
Day 3 sore face stayed in the shade mostly during the day tonight's restaurant was Eden, we had a nice meal and a bar quiz! Onward to Velvet, Taurus, Richmond Tea Rooms, Vanilla, Churchill's, Via Naps and finally the New Union (what a funny (strange) place that is!)... missed seeing Yvonne and the girls by a whisker! Still there's always Sparkle 14! ..... So 3 days of girly merriment over a suitcase of washing left and the 4 day parking to pay! (not to worry Charles Street is reasonable Friday lunch to Monday mid morn was £22....... well worth it! To everyone I met, said Hi to, waved at, spoke with, drank and ate with thank you for a really lovely weekend hope to see each of you out there at some venue or other.... To Carol Rachel and Gary.... sorry couldn't stop to chat was on my way to keep an appointment and running late! ***8 June 2013*** Is it because the weathers getting warmer or the way I'm feeling at present?? It was fab to meet up with Leanna and Nadine at LFF and catch up with Charley, Carol, Rachel, Mandy and the Leeds girls as well as make the acquaintance of lots more! A meal in Cosmo, a trip to Cindy's then the round of bars and clubs well known to LFF attendee's all 125 of them! Leanna left early... not well for awhile now and feeling she didn't 'fit' in with the evening (can empathise with her!) she went back to Lynn's. Nadine and I left Fibre and headed for Smokestack, its mix of 50's/60's and blues music was the change I needed from the more 'modern' tunes played at most venues nowadays! lol we went on to Queens Court and the Loft, I stayed briefly but had a really interesting conversation with the night Manager... boggle and Mind are two words I would use here, Ha! Really nice guy tho', well I went next to Viaduct with Jilly and Jane again bumping into oodles of girls, chatting snapping and people watching to while away the hours! The chill out in cosmo at the end of night was interesting, firstly there were some dozen older blokes from the North East on a golfing trip who weren't quite sure where they had landed after being descended upon by dozens and dozens of TGirls! Then I had chance to catch up with Beth and Hannah (aka Alan) who I'd not seen for over 8 months.... turns out Beth was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.. the thyroid has been removed but she starts her 'radioactive' treatment soon! as usual she was very upbeat and positive! Hannah (aka Alan) was getting TG withdrawal symptoms!! lol Anyway by 4am any chance of an early night had gone, the birds were singing and dawn was breaking finally got to bed after 5! ***24 May 2013*** Bristol is a really lovely City...... lots for sightseers, loads of Cafe bars, restaurants and clubs, the Harbour area is clean, bright and has a cosmopolitan feel, the shopping is in the new Cabot Centre. We stayed in the IBIS on Explore Lane over looking Millennium Sq, a newly built hotel Staff are friendly, rooms are bright and new, prices are average for the area. My night at Bristol's newly lauded Glitzy Girlz night was MOST ENJOYABLE, the venue's are entertaining and the turnout growing and growing around 60 girls braved the wind, cold and sometimes wet night! (Can't blame the weather on the organisers!! lol) Speaking of which.. many thanks must go to Sarah, Emma and Angie who all put a great deal of effort into making the night a big success! It was nice to see lots of new faces, chat and make friends and speak to girls you have only previously messaged on CHIX or Face Book... Rachel and Elle lovely to meet you! The high light of my night was seeing my very good friends again, Angie and Zora thank you so much for your hospitality and sightseeing tour of Bristol! lol xx and Abi a special thanks for your company it was great to see you and catch up, we'll definitely have to get out more often! Overall I had a wonderful time in Bristol I enjoyed the city and the Girly Glitz venues, if you're thinking about going..... don't....... STOP THINKING... and Get your self down to Bristol! This month with the lighter nights and warmer days brought many girls of their long winter solace. It was a night for chatting spoke to and with lots of ladies gents and those inbetween met and spoke to some lovely girls Kirsty, Amber, Orla (The Storm came south!) Lara Rachel and loads of others even had a deep discussion with two blokes about why we do what we do.... got on my nerves eventually.. not good at 4 in the morning! lol Managed to get Mandy round a few new venues hope she got up to catch her train on time! ***20 April 2013*** Back from the Invasion night in Nottingham, the second time attending this night and it didn't disappoint! As usual ably hosted by Samantha Coolbeans, lovely gorgeous girl, we ate at a little Italian in town and wandered through Nottingham centre on our way to New Foresters where we gather with other girls for a natter and drink before heading back into town. On my last visit we did 6 venues most of which were 'straight'.. bars and clubs, this time we did 5, 3 of which were new ones to me and again a mix of venues. Nottingham's night will keep you fit with a walk between each bar/club! Lovely to me new faces and lots of girls to chat with. My latest night so far finally got a taxi back to hotel about 4.15 am and fell asleep about 6 am (up at 9.30 and home by noon!) Thanks to Tiff Gina and Emma for 'escorting' me round the one way system! lol Only down side is I have a swollen lump with a cut on big toe on my right foot after some kind person of questionable parentage dropped a glass on it! Still not a problem I have a similar toe on my other foot so thats alright then. Not long now to my trip to Bristol..... keep getting out there girls we'll chip away until then Hugs Lou xxxxxxx
***5 April 2013*** Maybe it was because of the Easter school break that Aprils LFF seemed quiet? Although 80 plus girls partners and admirers braved a cold but dry night to have a good night out! Having had to change my arrangements at the last minute and with furious emails sent I managed to get a room at the Cosmopolitan Hotel then furious texting to arrange a meal with some good friends! lol We ate at ZiZi's Italian by the Corn Exchange a nice meal with some really lovely company... thanks girls! The night seemed quiet all round and I was in a chatting and sitting mood so not many of the usual venues were visited. I spent 3 hours chatting to various girls in the Cosmo Bar catching up with some good friends and meeting chatting to and making new ones! Still I had a good night out and I'm glad I went! ***17 March 2 013*** Happy St Patricks Day!! chreidimh ár n-aithreacha Lá Sona Saint Patricks!.. Just back from ` snowy Scotland and a fabulous night out with the Scottish Girls!! Staying at the homely Merchant City Inn with its Stone Spiral Staircase and lets face it very basic accommodation...... Moving swiftly on to the nightout.... We met up with our Scottish sisters in Delmonicas, quite a nice bar which is a short distance (100 yards from the Hotel) it has a mixed clientele and very T friendly. After mingling, chatting and drinking (oh and taking the odd photo!) we headed around the corner to The Polo Lounge for the start of a long night! The Polo has a very ornate entrance with seating area's shooting off around,down and up! there's also two dance floors (which unfortunately used an over abundance of dry Ice!!) The main bar area also played music so having an indepth conversation was really hard going at times! lol
The Scottish girls are well established, if not some what scattered, so to see so many of them in one place (there was an estimate of 80+ fabulous girls out for the nights event!) was a treat to see! Traveling so far and seeing girls you already know, those you have seen on CHIX or FB or chatted to online you get to do the Chatting and meeting first hand and so many new friends to chat to always makes things a good nightout in my book! This night is not as popular as it should be and more girls from the South should support it and hopefully it will become a regular occurrence! Remember there's always a warm welcome over the border and a night out dressed in Glasgow with sparkling company is well worth the trip! Yes I would go again! Watch this space! *** 1 March 2013*** Mad March Days!! Lovely feeling to be out and about again..... Sharing a room with my very close friend Jane LFF turned out to be soooo busy, in fact Leeds was busy all over lots of stag/hen do's and couples too and what an inquisitive bunch they were! I met up with Tiff, Gina, Emma and partners and other girls for a lovely meal in the Thai restaurant just around the corner from the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Mean while back in the Cosmo Jane Lesley and Mandy were getting merry with a pack bar of girls ready to partay! It was a night of excesses Lots of girls, lots of Chatting Drinking and moving from bar to bar! What a lovely surprise to see Leanna not seen her since 2012! A few pics later we were confronted by a large man in a blue shirt whose opening line was ' ok what's the score'? As I was looking at the pics on my camera at the time I replied 'sorry what match do you want to know about, this is a camera not a phone!' This went over his head.... I noticed his girlfriend behind him looking sheepish, he then said " she wants to know why you do it? she fascinated by you all......... cutting a long story short, after chatting to her and telling her my life story, I intimated that lots of boys start dressing at an early age glance over to the chap....... who had been ever so quiet... they just looked at one another and left not long after! lol Funny how you can go for months and years without getting comments then in one night you get 2 or 3 mostly young men (of twats to the cd fraternity - Our American friends may need to google this word!) who've been drinking copious amounts of alcohol!! That said those meetings are few and far between and another good night was had by all at March LFF. Again lots of dancing drinking and chatting, photos meeting friends catching up! The normal wound down in the Cosmo afterwards was again well attended, lots of new and old friends out and time and a few warmer nights will see LFF get better and better!So heres to the next nightout which in my case is Glasgow on the 16th March...... until then keep safe...... hugs Lou xxxxxxx
***9 Feb 2013*** BNO this feb was a little quieter than the warmer months! lol Still it was a good turnout and its always a good place to catch up with friends. Traveling down with Jane was uneventful, we stayed in the Doubletree, its fabulous and almost half the price of the Campanile and literally 5 mins away from Pinks by car. We met up with our very dear friends Angie and Zora at the Camp before BNO and managed to catch up with Diana, Rachel, Jane , Sammi, Leila and Debs (thanks for the drink!) Pinks has change a lot venue wise over the years and is better for it. It was good to get on the dance floor, take oodles of pics and chat to friends Charley, Heather, Tina and Tiff. A good night but a long drive but it was worth it to see Angie and Zee ........ ***6 January 2013*** Seems strange writing 2013....... mmm..... The first LFF of 2013 was a good night out. I was expecting it to be quiet and compared to the hectic Dec LFF it was but there must have been at least 80 plus Girls, partners and admirers out to enjoy themselves and believe me they did! Again you cant fault the whole night .... hotels venues security cost.... oh and the company! lol Venues weren't as busy as normal which meant you could get served without to much waiting about and you could see who was about! I may be biased but hey its Leeds on my doorstep where I can be myself for a fabulous nightout! If you haven't been come, you won't regret it!! ****8 December 2012**** Just back from LFF... Now being December and Leeds it was cold, but not cold enough to freeze around 130 TGirls from having a wonderful Christmas time! With Jane out again and rearing to go we again had a meal in Cafe Italia always a very friendly place to eat. Cosmo Bar was heaving and its a wonderful life when you can meet so many new friends from far and wide! Tonight we mainly chatted to and drank with our friends in the north (Scotland that is) what a fabulous bunch of girls they are too! While flitting from bar to bar I realised that hardly anyone takes much notice of you, you may get the occasional smiles from girls and glances from boys but keep your head up and just walk on Smiling and glancing back! The venues around LFF made an effort to celebrate the festive season with some creative decorations! The place was full of early Christmas revelers which had the knock on effect of them being busier than usual making queuing at the bar like an olympic event! lol We eventually went back to the Cosmo for the after evening chill out and we put the world to rights. The merriment carried on into the early hours there but by 3am I was feeling weary and my throat was sore from all the chatting so we departed for bed finally getting to sleep at 4.20! I Hope everyone enjoyed the night, it was really interesting chatting too the Scots Girls Carlina, Lesley, Jasmine and Mandy (the quiet one!!) which got really indepth by the end!! ****3 November 2012**** Closer to home, feeling better than last week and meeting up with some fab friends LFF was as good as ever. We ate in Cosmo, it was raining and sooo cold! A quiet start but things gradually heated up and again the Cosmo bar was heaving! Lovely to see familiar faces and a few new ones (some girls couldn't make it.... well it was bonfire weekend!). Meeting up with Leanna, Emma Leona and Nadine was great after not seeing them in awhile, then meeting the gorgeous Chantelle for the first time made it even better. We headed out bar to bar crossing paths and meeting friends and newbies, our pattern of bar hopping is a bit erratic and we spent lots of time in Smokestack listening and dancing to the music. We also took in the bars at Baracoa, Blaydes, Viaduct, Queens Court and Cosmo! We didn't even get the chance to get to Fibre and the Loft! There are so many girls I know now I just haven't the time or space here to name them all! it was a pleasure again to meet up with Heather, Roxy and Claire? and more gorgeous lovely girls xx Now you may all be surprise to learn that I FORGOT MY CAMERA AGAIN!!! is this becoming a habit or is there something deeper..... something on my mind?? .. I enjoyed the night it was lovely meeting up with friends and catching up on whats been happening to them over the past months! LFF is a good place for this Make friends, meet friends, catch up with friends and have a fab night out!! I may have said this before but if you want a great nightout or if its your first time out... you have to try Leeds for Venues, security hotels and food its excellent value!!! See you out there..... ****28 October 2012**** Just returned from a fabulous night out at the Magic Theatre! A Halloween special and wow what a special magical night I had, Some of the costumes and make-up had to be seen to be believed! Thanks to my friends in the south for the arrangements Cassie and Yolly it was lovely to catch up and also to meet friends of yours. Can I say if you've never been to MT.. GO! its a fab night out and a different TG experience... not overwhelmingly a TGirl night but a great mix of eclectic and eccentric people from all walks and genre's of life! I stayed at a hotel about 10-15 min taxi ride away from MT called the Queens it is 'basic' to be kind but very cheap for London £44 a twin room..... but it was some where to change and grab a few hours sleep! Oh and parking was free. Another bit of advice to anyone driving to the hotel if you've never driven to or through London before......... don't forget your sat-nav and even more advice don't forget the full address and telephone number of the hotel... if you don't know the post code you may well be driving around London for 2 hours not knowing where the hell where your going!!! So my 3.30 hour journey turned into a 5.30 hour one, leaving little time to get ready and giving me one hell of a migraine.............We took a taxi to the bar/restaurant cost £19 between 4 (Cassie Yolly Rachael and me) We ate at the Jam Circus, service was slow, extremely slow the food was average. Then on to MT, entry was by ticket (£14 plus postage online) or pay at the door £16 the place was packed so get there early. Oh by the way even though I wasn't on top form I really enjoyed the night met lots of girls I knew, Charley, Kirsty, Sophie, Nadine and thanks to Rachael, Yolly and Cassie for taking a few pics of me, for me? lol Thanks girls xx. Sorry to have to leave early but I was suffering and not my usual sparkly self! The taxi ride back to the hotel really did for me (note different taxi firm cost was £12!) but once I had managed to loose my dinner (yes this is a nice way to put it!), took my make-up and nail varnish off and had a shower I felt much better. ****5 October 2012*** October LFF at last and a chance to get out! This was a really enjoyable night, lots sand lots of girls out tonight!! Girls from as faraway as Edinburgh and London and all points inbetween!! Lovely to see the girls up from Nottingham out too! But most of all what made it such a fab night was the return, after an 18 month gap, of the delectable Jane Gee!!! We started out eating at the Thai restaurant (I know where it is but can't pronounce its name!! lol) We met up with Jacqui, Emily, Rosemary, Dee, Andrea and invited Sue and Sharon to join us! Back to Cosmo after the meal for a change of dress then a chat and on round the bars to meet up with all the other lovely girls out tonight! Had a great time in the Viaduct chatting and dancing with some lovely ladies on a girls night out!! ****16 Sept 2012**** BNO at pinks Friday night/Sat morn! Again another long night - bed at 5.20am I'm still feeling it!! lol This time stayed at the Doubletree Hilton which is the MK Dons ground. Compared to the Camp this is a 5 star hotel and cost me £26 less for a double room.... honestly there is no comparison even paying for a taxi both ways! The night was busier than August lots more girls and some gorgeous girls too! For all the friends I met and new friends I made thanks for a really great night out Angie an Z my amigo's, lovely to see Diana, Nicki and meet Sammi. The Camps restaurant is not up to the task at present and they closed the bar at 11 pm I think we're tolerated rather than welcomed, after all its only once a month! Pinks is an ideal venue for a good night out, good for first timers and those who want to remain anonymous, everything under one roof and a secure venue to boot! ****9 Sept 2012**** LFF came and went soooo quickly this time...... thats always a sure sign of a fabulous nightout! My word there were such a lot of girls out this month!!! The place was packed not to mention rocking!! lol Lovely to see Jacqui out on a friday, really lovely to meet Heloise and Sophie fabulous ladies xx Seeing friends and making new one's is what its all about for me! Bumping into old friends too.... Jane and Jilly Heather, Charley and Ellie (hope you're feeling better?) My good friends Andrea, Emma, Tanya Rach ad Gary, Jess, all the Leeds stalwarts....... yep a fabulous night! Getting around the venues is always tough! Well there's so many and you can't make them all in the 8 hours or so you spend at LFF! Again spent lots of time in Smoke Stack the music is to die for!! and a warm summers evening added to the success of LFF this month. ****10 Aug 2012**** BNO at Pink Punters was quieter than usual (there's a trend beginning to appear now -seems August is a family time for lots of girls!) The Campanile bar wasn't 3 deep as normal and you could chat away and find a seat too! The price for the standard of their rooms is high but its convenient for Pinks. The improvements made to the venue hosting BNO are not before time there's more room outside , better bar facilities an toilets and for once the 'dry ice' on the dance floor was nowhere to be seen. Well for me its always who you're with not the venue AND I was with my wonderful friends Angie and Zee from down Bristol way mind!! lol I always have a fab time when we're all together. There were lots of girls who made it and a few I knew Lisa, Nessa and some more I had just met! Nicki from Liverpool and Charley from London way. Also bumped into Nicole and Sarah a blast from the past!! lol Two things go together at BNO Gorgeous girls, late nights and having a good time! Erm 3 things go together with BNO...... ****4 Aug 2012**** Evolve weekend.... starting with LFF Leeds first Friday and ending with Leeds PRIDE this weekend is building into quite a 'must go' event!! LFF was another fab night out with some lovely friends, lots of new faces and 'Southern' girls trying out the Leeds TG scene! Plenty of places to to eat and bars and venues to visit. Again I had the pleasure of the company of Cassie Yolly Emma Andrea Cat Nadine Linda and Dee (lovely to meet you Dee) Smokestack was on fire! Best music in Leeds! My feet and legs ached form all the dancing!! lol We had a lovely meal in Cafe Italia (I can recommend this restaurant the staff are very TGirl friendly and welcoming!) We managed to get around a few more bars in the evening and drank copious amounts and chatted to some fabulous real and Tgirls but it was very hot inside which made you drink more!! lol Finally chilled out in the Cosmo bar and went up to bed at 4am and asleep by 5.10am! Not much sleep but as any dresser will tell you its the buzz you get from being out and about dressed that keeps you going!! Pride to look forward to on Sunday and then there's September LFF!! ****13-15 July 2012**** Sparkle was over in a flash! Now thats the sign of a good time. Fridays weather was poor, raining until tea time! We didn't let it spoil our nightout. The meal at Velvet then onto the Molly House to see Yvonne and her Irish Sparkles night, after a few technical glitches it was a good craic! Several bars later we ended up a Naps and final got to sleep at 3.50am. The Sun came out Day time on the Saturday is a must for all girls, you can't get 10 feet without bumping into someone you know or who's face looks familiar from CHIX! Girl watching as you sit and have a drink on Canal St or a stroll round Sackville Gardens listening to the band. Saturday night at Sparkle is the big night out so many girls, admirers, partners and general public massed on Canal St and the streets behind this year was no exception meal at Villagio's then round to New York New York and on to Via (tried to get further but all the places were packed we stayed in Via met some lovely ladies and dance the night away (advice -look after your feet or take a change of shoes!!lol) Finally back to the hotel a few more pics before retiring! In bed by 3.40 still listening to the crowds partying outside! So many people to look up and say hi too! I had a fab time I want to thank Angie and Zee for being there what indepth conversations we had! xx, Emily for all her time and effort booking the meals and meeting Jane, Leanna, Jo (lovely meeting you! xx) New friends made Kay, lovely seeing and chatting to Janice and Julie, Nadine, Katie Smith, Jill St John, Rachael Green, Heather,Tina, Jess, Tanya,Rachel, Ananda, Sue, Rachael, Cat, Andrea, Lisa, Leona, Sophie and all those who I met and took the time to stop and chat! ****7 July 2012**** Funny ole night LFF was.. quieter than usual a combination of the wet weather and Sparkle next weekend. Well best laid plans and all that! Our little group finally came together around 7.15 in Cosmo Bar, table for 8 at Cafe italia just 5 min walk away, rain had stopped so what could go wrong?? lol Unforeseen circumstances thats what! Andrea Cat Cassie Yolly and I eventually ate our meal at Cafe Italia. A few pics later and we met up in the Cosmo to start the tiyr off! Yolly's first time in Leeds (dressed!) The bars were quiet (on people not noise unfortunately! lol) so was the street anyway we managed 6 different bars SmokeStack being our favourite! It was lovely seeing Cassie and Yolly(glad you came and hope you enjoyed it!), Cat and Andrea, Emma and Sue, Debs and Debbie (sorry didn't get the chance for a decent chat!) Seemed a long night but I was asleep before 4am and got 5 hours sleep! LFF Aug is the high- light of the Summer as its the start of Leeds Pride weekend so book 2 or 3 nights and make a weekend of it! Pride march on sunday with lots of fun activities and stalls selling most things! lol Come along and try it over 25,000 last year did just that! ****17 June 2012**** Back from a weekend with my fabulous friends Angie and Leanna, we had a very girly time, Friday in Velvet, Day time sat Shopping and Sat night Eden and the strip of Canal St. meeting up with Rachael and Lucy. Richmond Street has now some very sophisticated Cafe Bars and Tea rooms Ideal for ladies that lunch! Some good photo opportunities there too!! lol (in joke for those who know me!!) ****3 June 2012****LFF June a strange evening for me, it was light, cool and unhurried. Things had happened at a pace for some of my friends and I was eager to catch up. Lovely to see Abi again and Leona and Leanna after their trip to Gran Canaria Pride. Again lots of lovely girls and at this LFF more partners and Admirers than before! ****19 May 2012**** Well what can I say about Nottingham... Mmm...... Except for the rain what a good night it turned out to be! I met up with Tina and Crystal at the New Gables Hotel www.newgables.co.uk.. Made very welcome.. From there a taxi was ordered for us and we went on to the gathering place.. the New Foresters pub in downtown Nottingham. The place started to fill up and more and more girls arrived. Again we were made very welcome (well if you know me I'll talk to anyone! lol) One of the organisers of the event, Sam (Samantha) chatted and 'escorted' us around the venues. If I can remember they were the New Foresters (there is another pub called the Foresters! confusing hehe) New Market pub, F&G bar, Propaganda bar, Oceania night club then back to New Foresters for the last hour Left at 3.30am it was still open and serving food! lol Not all the venues are gay bars but all are very TGirl friendly, you even get a discount at the Oceania! lol On the night I met some really lovely friendly people - Sam, Janice and Pam as well as Tina and Crystal to name a few and chatted to lots of others and I had my pic taken and chatted to the local guys and girls on there night out in Nottingham. Considering it was a bad night weatherwise there were about 50 plus girls and admirers out. Definitely go again and its well worth a visit for a good night out. ****4 May 2012****May LFF, warmer days and nights........ well it was a cold night! lol Andrea's B'Day bash...... Mal Maison restaurant Mmmm although we ate late the service was bad, the food cold and over priced same with the wine... probably not go again! LFF was again a good night and if you're after a good nightout or its your first time out and about then you really can't beat LFF, value for money.... The Venues are varied, showbars, wine bars, pubs, hotel bars and music bars something for everyone's taste. Atmosphere around the area is relaxed and exuberant. Both the Door and Bar staff are very friendly and helpful, just watch at the end of a long night (4am) while going back to your hotel/car you can get the odd drunk who's a just bit rude asking to see your 'tits' but a swift rebuke by a 6' 'Tranny' soon remedies that! ****15 April 2012**** BNO April came down to see some very special friends of mine and we had a really fab night (and day!) shame I couldn't stay a second night but heigh-ho! always next time. Angie and Z dirty stop outs 5am they came home!! lol While Abi and I only managed 3.30am! Still tired but managed 10 hours sleep sunday. It was great to catch up with what my friends have been up to and how lifes been treating them! Lovely to see Rachel, Jane Diana and Roo. Lots of Leeds girls (well LFF attendees lol) at BNO this month too! It was funnily a very relaxing night out and for those who know me I tried to chat to as many girls as would listen! lol
There are lots of girls out there who would/should give BNO a try if you're new to the scene or still in the closet its a safe environment for that first nightout. The hotel is literally only over the road and once you're in there's 3 floors and a 'smoking' terrace bar where you can keep warm, eat and drink and smoke (please note smoking kills) There are girls attending from far and wide all shapes, sizes, ages, some with dress sense some debatable! lol You can be who you want to be.... at least for the night! ****22 March 2012**** Mid week nights out are a novelty for me just now and this one was a well deserved break! Meeting up with Emily and Rosemary with Rachel C added for good measure we ate at velvet then changed and went on the town! ****3 March 2012**** Well thank goodness I've finally got my first LFF of 2012 under my belt lol and wow what an extremely busy night it was I can say I've not see so many girls out all at once since Sparkle last year!! there must have been 150 plus girls and admirers, wall to wall or bar to bar TGirls! lol Lots and lots of new faces and I'm happy to say a good turn out from the usual suspects too! The next TGirl night out in Leeds is Big Night Out on each 3rd saturday not as popular yet as LFF but still a good TGirl night out and there is still the TGirl quiz night every tuesday at Blayds Bar. ****8 Jan 2012**** Well finally made it out of the door met up with Abi, Leona and Leanna in Leeds then off we went for a night out in Manchester!! lol First we headed for Leona's place to freshen up and put the gladrags on.... and unusually I was ready by 6pm! We headed to Manc via Shaw high Street and the mini-bank cash machine although a queue no-one paid too much attention to me even after a young chap called me back to pick up my balance slip!!... which is what we should all expect! After parking.. isn't damned expensive to park in Manc!!a meal in Velvet which is on Manchester's famous Canal Street (if you've never been definitely go! lol) We headed out into the night. It started off a bit quiet.. well first sat after the New Year.. Via, Churchill's, Vanilla, Paddy's Goose and Napoleons. Plenty of dancing and the place got a bit more livelier after midnight! By 2pm everyone was Shattered Leona and Leanna who'd been out in Leeds the Night before and Abi who'd driven up from London that morning Me it was way past my bed time too! lol Back at Leona's we were in bed and asleep by 3.30.. I must thank Leona for being the perfect hostess, her Beans on toast were a delight! Mwahhh Leona! A good night out thanks girls xxxxxx

****10 Dec 2011**** Magic Theatre Christmas party night, a festive and coiourful night. I expect this wasn't a quiet night but more of a regular attendance night (forgive me but I was comparing the attendance to the Halloween event) This was a more relaxed and for me enjoyable night, there was room to move, room to dance, room to wander and chat and plenty of room in the bar and cloakroom! Still many made the effort to dress individually, a few christmas outfits but most had put their own unique stamp on theirs! The entertainment was good The Magician no so good. The singing and Band were again good but I was expecting a new set and instead only got a few new songs added to the same one. (I can almost sing along now I've heard them that often! lol) Was it a quiet time all round? Word has it BNO wasn't as busy as it was expected to be? ****2 Dec 2011**** LFF xmas night out was certainly a very busy Tgirl night, Not seen so many girls in one place since Sparkle in the summer!! Girls from near and far coming by car,bus, train and foot in fact all corners of the UK and Ireland! It was lovely to see and greet new faces and familiar faces! Not enough time to get round everyone and not enough time to get around all the venues.. only managed 5 out of them all!! Still it was lovely again to meet up with..... Helen, Chloe, Andrea, Andrea and Kirsty (nice meeting you), Leona, Emily, Rosemary, Cat, Sam, Sams wife (soz couldn't remember your name xx) Leanna and of course Emma as well as all those lovely girls, gurls and some guys I chatted with! lol Thanks to Tanya and Rachel (lovely girls), the willing helpers and everyone who helped make the night a great success! There are rumours abound that there will be a LFF Ball in April 2012 so get your glad rags out of mothballs girls! (apologies to those under 35!! lol) Gowns and Tux the order of the day! If anyone one can make it there will be a LiPs (lets Party in Leeds) special on the last friday before Christmas usual meeting places. So... I enjoyed it, saw lots of girls and had a boogie! **** 18 and 19 Nov 2011**** 2 fab nights and a day out in Leeds, never a dull moment abfab to meet up with great friends Angie, Zora, Abi, Emma, Leanna, andrea and really lovely meeting Roo and Kimberly who I'd not seen since Sparkle in July!! Although friday was a quiet night in Leeds we manage to get around half a dozen bars and clubs, saturday day was a lighting tour of the shops stopping only at a watering hole to refuel! Stayed with my very good friend Abi (Abicat on here) chilled out friday made a nice curry for us both then sat morn did a little retail therapy with Abi got back in time to let in Emma in who was the third member and was cooking dinner spagbol that day! Magic Theatre is a really fabulous experience and the theme was Halloween so no shortage of Zombies scary film things and gorgeous girls too! Got there early to avoid the crowds £16 on the door but well worth every penny! A very big turn out and sooooo many fabulous costumes! The Venue was ideal and seemed brighter than the first time this is not exclusively a TGirl night but a rich mixture of people from all walks of life, all out with the same aim... to have a a damn good time!! Live music mixed in with hits from yesteryear gave a 1950's atmosphere to the night, although hardly any of the music played came from that era! . At events like this you always meet up with old friends make new ones and have a wonderful time chatting to total strangers!! The only downside was the length of time you had to queue to get a drink!! All in all it was a fabulous night only sorry it had to end! ****8 Oct 2011**** What a difference a day makes!! same venues but different crowd and the atmosphere was lovely carnivalish!! we met up with Lynne (female partner) and Heather (daughter) finally out to celebrate her 21st!! awe she looked fabulous too!..... As she had a tooth abscess Heather was on soft drinks as were we all!! we had a good laugh and met some really lovely girls ending up back in the hotel bar for any early night!! got to bed at around 3.45!! lol still Abi let me sleep[ in till 9am!! ****7 Oct 2011**** Finally got back out on the streets (erm.. not as bad as it sounds!! lol) LFF was a cross between St Trinians and rent a crowd.. lol there seemed to be lots out dressed as the school girls theme and it was lovely to see lots of new faces trying the Leeds scene out for the first time. Our little troop of Abi Andrea Cat Emma Leona and Louise oh and Tracie was cut short when Leona ... bless her... was taken ill, get well soon sweetheart! xxx So down to 5 and we barely managed to visit 6 bars during the evening. some lovely people out that night young men and drink eh..... not a good combination! lol Still we the had pleasure of Rachel from Bolton and another lovely lady whose name escapes me for which I apologise! so back up to 7 we visited our usual haunts bumping into mutual friends!! and it was lovely to see them all. finally back to the hotel room at 3.50am half an hour later I was in bed asleep! Then ahhhhhhhhh! Abi woke me and I was awake at 8.10am!! lol you've gotta laff or else you'd cry!! lol xxxx
****4 Sept 2011**** Sept LFF was a good night out! Although it wasn't as busy-a-night all round as normal there were a large number of girls out who throughly enjoyed themselves. Lots of new faces and first-timers. It was really lovely seeing friends I've made over the last 3 years on-line and while out and about. As it will be 5 weeks between now and Oct LFF I just might have to venture out to keep in practise! lol See you out there.. stay gorgeous xxxxxxxx

****28/08/2011**** Well a Birmingham City first for me! Cruised up and down Hurst Street in and out of bars nightspots and restaurants, people were generally friendly lots of hen/ girls night out parties which always adds spice to the night. Met some lovely girls who loved chatting (and kissing) us!! lol Bar staff were always happy to help and the venues seemed strangely familiar to Leeds and Manchester lol My good friends Emma and Leanna accompanied me with Leanna relying on her indepth knowledge of the Brum scene to lead us thro' the numerous bars and clubs!! The guys on the other hand were a totally different bunch... Mars and Venus here!! the only down side of the night was.. yes idiot male drunks or loud bigoted young men! Oh and the occasional street crawler following us back to the Hotel. Marks out of 10? - 7 scored for the venues and those fabulous women!! Would I go again?... yes! ****08/08/2011**** Welllllll !! In a nutshell...............
The Evolve weekend in Leeds certainly lived up to its name! from one night (LFF) to 3 Days!! LFF was bigger and better there's so many new places to go now (and even new places to stay!!) you can party on for 12 hours if you want!! (not me I'm tucked up in bed by midnight (on my own) as you all know!!)It was really lovely to see lots of friends and new faces too!
The Saturday was a casual day dressing optional still lots dressed and did lunch before sampling what leeds has to offer (shopping!!) and what had been organised for us ladies by the Evolve Committee (Tanya and co) Saturday night and the town was heaving lots of hen parties out which is always a good sign!! free entry in to our usual venues and the weather being kind we were able to sit out and enjoy a conversation with friends!! lol (Am I getting old or just maturing??) After Another late night back to the hotel bar for a nightcap and a few pics before de-frocking (but not in the biblical sense!)
Sunday Leeds Pride!! Ahhh rain!! wet wet wet! But we're a hardy bunch int' north so brollies up and off we went congregating in Millennium Sq.. live music friendly folk, atmosphere building and miracle Sun came out!!! This year we had our own float for the parade lots of girls admirers and partners took their life in their hands and climbed aboard!! (sorry Geraldine you drove it beautifully!! well at least none of us broke any bones!! hehe :) x we were the last float out and were followed by thousands (and I mean thousands) of flag waving whistle blowing banner carrying horn deafening lovely lovely crowd out to really enjoy the pride day out!! The entertainment both in Millennium Sq and Lower Briggate (the Pride main venue) was abfab! lots of side shows going on too! The marshaling and security was excellent (thank goodness there's some many volunteers willing to help!) and I met so many friendly lovely people I was worn out hugging!! After a quick change (for those who know me it only took me 1.30 hours so thats quick!! lol) We were back out in our glad rags a quick bite to eat in Wok-On then through the madding crowd to see the on going entertainment and a few drinks to stop getting dehydrated!! It being such a long day we retired at 11pm but the partying was still going on! Finally arrived home 1.30am and in bed by 2!! Now looking forward to the next time! ****27 June 2011**** A very tiring weekend but worth it just to be Louise for 3 days! A special time with special friend Angie, Emma Leanna and Leona and lovely to see Diana again. Eat, drink and Party friday, walk shop eat drink Party saturday, relax review reprise and return home Sunday. Pinks was quiet on friday but packed on Saturday a better venue now but still not my type of music (am I getting old? or do I have an excellent music taste! lol) Although Pinks is a safe venue for lots of TGirls, getting out into the real world is a must, a goal which we should all aspire. If only getting across the road to the Bridge pub before Pinks then you should give it ago! Milton Keynes has a nice shopping centre if you dress appropriately for a days shopping no one really takes any notice of you and its one hell of a buzz!!! Well I did Miss Abi, Jane and Zora but there's always next time!! Roll on Sparkle!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

****4 June 2011**** Meeting up with old friends making new ones and striking up acquaintances to me sums up LFF's whole evening from late afternoon getting ready having a meal and walking from bar to bar. Then when you add in the late night or very early morning drink back at the cosmo bar before heading off to bed and meeting again for breakfast before departing you have a perfect 24 hours!! Meeting friends and being sociable this time our meal was booked for 10! Abi, Amber, Andrea W, Andrea Y, Emma, Lainey, Leanna, Leona oh and me Louise! Pity Jane couldn't make it! xx Cafe Italia is a lovely little restaurant not 5 mins walk from the Cosmopolitan Hotel, the staff are very friendly and courteous! Food is excellent and reasonably priced too! Stepping out in the gorgeous sunshine and walking through Leeds with the gentle breeze around your knees you really can't ask for more! So back to the Cosmo to meet chat arrange decide tag follow or do your own thing!Oh and get changed into your glad rags for clubbing!! (not compulsory especially if you're me and it takes you an hour to decide what to wear!!} We visited Blayds, Bar a coa, Smoke Stack, Viaduct, Queens Court, Loft and finally back to Cosmo! Its never a dull moment when your dressed women are very curious and want to know more Men are defensive or show a complete homo/trans phobic side we all know why don't we girls! Don't forget its LiPs on the 18th June!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

****15 May 2011**** Back from a really fab weekend with Abi (thank you sooo much for your wonderful hospitality! xx) We spent friday night in and ordered a take away, Jo came over and we spent the night chatting!! lol Saturday was a lazy day and Emma arrived in the pm to get ready for Magic Theatre! We dolled ourselves up to the nines and set off at 7 (yes I was ready in time!! xx) Its sited not in the nicest part of London The Rivoli Ballroom is straight out of the 1940's!! a lovely old building the place has atmosphere (but maybe due some tlc!) for friendliness and entertainment its 9 out of ten but the bar facilities were a let down. I had a wonderful time we caught up with Rachael and Andrea inside and I bumped into fellow chixters and facebookeans(?) took one or two pics and danced and chatted the night away. There was live entertainment... singers, swingers, dancers and a magician(?) plus a fab array of music you actually wanted to dance to!! lol Well worth the 4 hour drive xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

****6 may 2011**** LFF early start met friends in the cosmo bar at 7.30 then onto Las Iguanas for a meal - verdict waited nearly 1 1/2 hours to get served half the food was ok but the chicken was dry and the service was to say the least poor- Back to Cosmo for a quick (lol) change and then started the bar crawl!! Not an uneventful night was it Abi!! Arrggg! not very nice having someone vomit down your back! Got a few pics though (Not of Abi's top I hasten to add!!) didn't we Emma?? lol Nice to see some old friends and meet some new ones!! LFF is a good place for that!!! :-) Well must have been in bed before 5am so 4 hours sleep was good!! S whats next? Magic Theatre ! this is a first for me and really looking forward to it now! ****01 october 2010****LFF, I enjoyed myself immensely!! As my great friend Jane was working I ventured into the bright city lights of Leeds all alone, After my rush to get ready as usual my 4 hour preparation paid off! I met up with Rosemary, Emily, Juliette and Emma in the Cosmo bar before we made the short walk to Bibi's restaurant. The place was packed, we had a good meal very reasonable to! The other diners paid us no mind and we were very popular with the ladies outside the Restaurant! IT WAS Fabulous to meet so many new faces from near and far (you know who you are!) and so many girls I call friends too! ****3 Sept 2010***Leeds LFF, September already but the weathers been kind to us!! met Jane who was all sun tanned from 2 weeks in spain so I had to make do with tan from a tube!! lol (its a bugger to wash off tho'!!) lol Had a meal in the flat (pasta) invited Emma who'd come all the way from Colchester over 5 hours traveling! Then out on the unsuspecting citizens of Leeds, within 5 mins our first cat calls!! 3 young lads (14/15 yr old) bless their little chav sox! Well back to the plot.... Met up with Mandy and Sophie (from Carlisle) in Cosmo bar then onto Blayds to see dozens more girls in the yard. Nice to see lots of first timers (to LFF at any rate!) and some lovely girls I now call friends! Well onward and upward crossed over to Queens court bar and Fibre before ending up in the Loft! ****25 August 2010*** Met up at Fayes for Nykki Wilds B'Day party! Faye, Nykki, Lynne, Rachael, Ruth and me! We had a few nibbles and eats before wandering up to Queens Court for a quiet drink!! ****21 August 2010*** Leeds LiPs Every third Saturday rather a quieter night than usual, Holidays maybe, but still over 40 girls out! We (Emma, Cara, Mandy, Jessica and myself) decided on a visit to the Leeds Birdcage on Vicar Lane so after a good look (and drink) in every watering hole we passed we moved on to the Birdcage.. after pondering the door charge of £7 entry fee (which is probably average for these places) we entered!! We discovered wall to wall hen night parties (closely followed by the guys) Wow weren't we popular!! never been asked to have my photo taken so often and it lasted all night too! some really fabulous girls and nearly all wanting to chat to you too! by 2am it was quieting down so we moved back to the lift/new penny to round the evening off! finally got in at 3.15!! Great night out again in Leeds! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
****13 Aug 2010!!**** Leeds shopping trip! went on my own loved walking the streets and around the shops in daylight!! My first shopping trip as Louise on my own!!! It rained but hey walking in the rain dressed with your brolly up is a wonderful feeling!! Managed to get round M&S, Boots, Evans, Accessories shop, Debenhams, a wig shop and a cup of tea in a bar! Bought tights, nail varnish and a foundation brush! oh and some wig spray, no-one gave me a second glance (that noticed) and the M&S/boots staff were very helpful! Def doing it again and soon! Fab day out! xxx **************

****1 August 2010**** Leeds Pride... Another fab day in Leeds! Long day tho' lol, started with a quick look round Debenhams then walked through the city to Millennium Sq where it all started! Wow it was great walking in the parade at the front helping to carry the giant pride flag with Cindy, Mandy, Rachel,Green, RachelTV8 and Sarah! You may see us on the gayleeds site. **** 4 June 2010**** Well at last a night out! was at LFF, first time out in 3 weeks! Not feeling 100% yet but getting there! Had a fabulous night with Jane, Abi, Angie and Zora, Leanna, Emily, Rosemary, Trixie, Little Em and Samantha. we started at Cosmopolitan hotel then had a meal as Las Iguanas (in amongst the heavy rain fall!) before meeting the other hundreds (slight exaggeration on my part!! lol) of other girls in Blayds Court! We then had a fab time in Queens court and the loft dancing and chatting til the early hours!! Another great LFF! Thanks to Tanya (like the website!) and others behind the scenes!! **** 15 May 2010**** LiPs Leeds new TGirl night out!! What a god night out! Met up with good friends Jane Angie and Leanna and met for the first time the very lovely Zora! xx
This is a fabulous compliment to LFF and this has all the potential to be as successful with the lovely Mandymakeup organising!! The Loft as venue was a excellent choice! loads of girls gave this the thumbs up! The night was busier than fridays, the venue was free to girls and admirers alike AND Drinks were only £2.50 all night!!! The usual other watering holes were within minutes walk if you so wished and there's many-a restaurant if youre feeling peckish! So next month make a date in your diary for the 3rd saturday for a good night out dressed!
So why not come along Queens Court and the Loft Sat night best nightout of the week!! Say hi if you see me I 'd love to see you there!! xxxxxxxx

****13th Feb 2010 Blackpool!! Back from a really good night out in Blackpool Although the weather was cold I wasn't at all effected! Had a Valentines meal at Cascades Hotel! Then sampled the night life in Roxy's, Mardi Gras ,FG2 and Flamingo's. Mardi Gras was a fabulous laugh and dance and danced!! and great atmosphere thanks to the Lesbian community (Jaks & Jane and friends!! Love ya girls!!)Also met Jenny Simpson there!! xx. Roxy's played great music too! FG2 was empty! Shall try again later in the year and Flamoingo's was...... Foggy!! lol Music not to my taste (Am I getting old? (no replies please!!) Verdict? 12 Dec 2009 Out in Manc with Susanpaint! Hows this for a bloody cheek..... got stopped going into Velvet by a dozy bouncer , he said he wasn't letting us in because we were in Fancy Dress!!!!!! After arguing the toss for 10mins and threating to report him, he let us in! I was expecting to see lots of girls in there but there were none! Obviously the bloke had done his job effectively!! Later found out that other girls had also been refused entry!! So to recap.. Manc Gay Village Bar refuses entry because I was dressed as a woman? Had a brilliant night in Churchills anyway!! xxxxx

8 August Recovering pleasantly from a great night out in Leeds! First Friday of every month Girls from near & Far gather to have fun and enjoy themselves! A new venue this month was 'Blaydes Yard' which is a very short walk (30yards) from the Cosmopolitan Hotel and 50 yards from our previous venue. Hey and what a fantastic turn out! around 60 girls from all over met and did we have a good time!!!
The night and venue was organized by Leeds very own TVChix Mandymakeup! Mandy put a lot of her own time and a great deal of effort into making this such a successful event!!
