Interested in catching up with old friends and meeting new ones.... shopping, lunch, coffee, days out, nights out, having a laugh - and maybe a bit of the naughtier stuff with the right person...preferably a fabulous t-girl.
I'm drawn to people who are confident, literate, gracious and assured. Above all, I hold the greatest admiration for people who, irrespective of their gender identity, live their lives with authenticity and courage.
About me:
I'm 100% out so I don't hide, skulk, sneak, lie or deceive. If you're still in the closet, that's okay. I totally respect your decision. Only you will know when the time is right for you. But, as most 'out' girls will tell you, the catastrophe that you've built up in your head just doesn't happen. Try it. Its fabulous.
I'm a transgender, gender-fluid, gender-gifted individual - labels are unimportant. I simply present in the gender that I feel drawn to on any particular day, and I work, shop, socialise, commute, live and love as a woman. But I present as male quite a lot as well (and having said that, I can't believe how many people assume I'm full-time. Can you not read? Have I been too ambiguous?)
I had planned to transition a couple of years ago. I jumped on the transition treadmill - came out, changed my social presentation, changed my name, started hormones - the whole pre-ordained routine. I realised I was following the process because that's what one is "meant to do"; because that's what is "expected" you do. Step-by-step... Tick the boxes... Then I decided to stop taking the hormones one morning. It was no big revelation, traumatic experience or life-changing epiphany. I just took off the oestrogen patch and that was that - some 7 years ago now. Will I ever transition fully? It's unlikely.
I am not depressed, anxious or conflicted about being trans. I'm happy and comfortable in my own skin. I celebrate being me and live my life to the full - its so much more fun that way.
Interests:
Other than that I'm interested in 3B's - books, bikes and ballet. I love reading; predominantly non-fiction and love the smell of books, the journeys they take you on and the things there are to learn. I also ride a motorcycle and I confess to being a fair-weather rider - because riding is meant to be fun. But my passion is ballet and I used to take regular classes.
In other news.... in private I love dressing in leotards, tights, lycra and dancewear. I have a huge collection that I'm wiling to share with someone equally passionate about these things.
Mandatory bit:
I'm 5'8" and definitely not a beanpole - hey, I'm more huggable! I have grey hair which is all my own (currently with an undercut).
