Went out in public during the day for the first time clothes shopping as Paula. After a lot of false starts I finally plucked up the courage to cross the doorstep and go out in the cold light of day as the woman I just love to be and feel very at home being.
My wife and I went to a small town called Northallerton late Saturday afternoon , which is about 10 miles away from where we live, with me all dressed up as Paula. I was a little nervous as I stepped out of the car for the first time as a woman but within a few minutes that all seemed to pass. We had a walk up and down the high street and to my surprise the world didn't end, nobody shouted abuse at me and basically nobody really gave me a second glance. I wore a blue polo neck jumper a below knee A line black skirt and black knee high boots with a mustard coloured coat and underneath I had on black opaque 60 den tights, a black panty girdle black bra and boobs, a full black slip, full make up, bling, wig, handbag and Chanel perfume.
We visited several shops and as we left the Lakeland shop the assistant said to us "thank you ladies" which I found delightful. We spent a lot of time in Barkers which is quite a large department store and browsed the make up, shoes, dresses, lingerie and tights departments which was so nice and once again nobody seemed to even give me a second glance.
On the way home we called into Northallerton Sainsbury's and again nobody seemed to take much notice of us at all.
I wish I had done this a long time ago and we will be planning other trips out now that I have the confidence in myself to just get out there.
Update 05.01.2020
Finally got off the fence and we went to Leeds First Friday on 3rd January 2020. We went with Jenny and her wife and we stayed in the Cosmo. What a great night we had and there were so many nice girls and such a difference in styles of dress. We had quite a few drinks in the Cosmo bar and then headed out for an Italian meal and then hit some of the bars/clubs for more drinks and dancing.
Have to admit I was a bag of nerves to start with but that soon went and venturing out was wonderful and I enjoyed every minute of it even though by the end of the night my feet were killing me. My only regret is that I should have done this much sooner but we will definitely be back again.

I'm now in my 60's and where do the years go! I'm in good shape thanks to keeping fit, 5 ft 8 inches tall, blue eyes and have been attracted to wearing woman's clothes for as long as I can remember. I started, like most others, at a very young age by wearing my mothers girdles, stockings and tights, bras and slips and I was always drawn to the ladies section of catalogues. I would look at all the pretty dresses, skirts, underwear etc. and long to not only wear them but I also wanted to look like the girls who were modeling the clothes
Over the years I quickly progressed from just wearing stockings, tights, girdles, bras and the odd dress or skirt to the position I'm in now where I wear make-up, wigs, stockings, tights, girdles, bras, silicon boobs, slips, heels, jewellery, dresses, skirts and tops (the whole outfit) so that I am a complete woman.
I feel perfectly comfortable and at home when I become Paula as I just love being a woman. I also feel so sexy when all dressed up and I think I look far better as a woman - maybe I should have been one!
My dressing has not been without cost however as it was the main reason for the breakdown of my first marriage. When I met my present wife I told her about Paula as soon as I felt the relationship was going somewhere, I didn't want any secrets or surprises. She was very open minded and understanding about my need to be a woman and she has always been very supportive and helpful with regard to my strong feminine side (Paula).
We shop for clothes, shoes and undies together and have often bought the same shoes and dresses but in different sizes. We are able to share skirts and have bought quite a few skirt suits with one skirt and two different sized jackets. She has also helped Paula with advice on her make-up and choice of wigs. I wear a size 12/14 skirt, size 18 dress and tops (curse of the male shoulders) and I wear a size 7 1/2 shoe so I have no problem getting my high heels on the high street.
Our kids have all left home now so Paula has two double wardrobes and drawer space available now and needless to say they are all full as a girl does love to shop. I am now retired and am able to become Paula whenever I like and we often just do our normal things in and around the house or have a nice meal and a bottle of wine with me as Paula.
The acceptance of Paula by my wife takes all the old stress from my dressing and it makes being Paula a very comfortable and relaxing experience.
I am finding that I am spending more and more time as Paula as I really feel I should have been a woman and I wish I had real boobs to put in my bra. I also really need to gain the courage to go out. I would really love to go clothes shopping as Paula however it's getting up the courage to cross that threshold of no return. My lovely wife has said she will support me and accompany me whenever I gain the courage to go out and she has actively encouraged me to do it as she knows it's something I really want to do - who knows - maybe this year.
