Hi, I'm Rachel, I'm now in my mid 50’s, brown shoulder length hair (usually), green eyes and medium build. Im 6'3" so never going to be truly convincing, but that is my aim, I'll leave it to you to decide if I'm successful!
I'm back to make contact with my friends, to chat with others in similar circumstances, maybe meet for a chat and coffee....
My wife found out about my dressing after 10 years together (hence the deletion of my previous profile!), and she has accepted that it is part of who I am, but unfortunately doesn’t want to know anything about this side of me.
Update: I've had some very deep and meaningful conversations with some girls on here as well as the opportunity to be 'me' on many occasions, as a result of all of this i feel I'm coming to terms with who I really am, hence the change in my profile to transgender. I feel the time for me to be myself fully is approaching and I'm looking forward to the adventure to come!!
Went out in daylight for the first time yesterday, arranged to meet my lady friend for coffee but surprised her by turning up dressed! Surprised myself too actually! Just felt so good, only walked 30 yards from the car to Costa, but sat and chatted with her for an hour, then 30 yards back to the car, but every journey starts with a single step! Can’t wait for my next time now....
Have now been out dressed in daylight several times, either just for a drive or walking the dog, it feels so liberating, I’m loving being me...... xx
April 2021-I’ve just spent the whole day as Sophie, did everything from my exercise workout, household chores, walking the dog, driving into the next town and even going for a short walk in the quieter part of town, all with no problems, it’s given me such a boost in confidence!
I’m currently writing a series called “The Stables” on the Stories and Prose forum, I’ve found it very therapeutic and it’s helping me come to terms (vicariously) with who I am and where I want to go. Xx
April 2021-Came out as transgender to an old friend today, the first person I’ve told. She was very supportive but curious, we had a good chat and I feel so liberated, just need to work out how to tell others now...x
June 2021- spoke to my GP who has referred me on to the GIC, first official step towards my target, even though it’s going to take a long time, I’m really happy!
