Alison Smith, who was also known as Ria, died on Feb 27, 2011.
She had been ill for quite some time with a brain tumour.
She spent the last few weeks of her life in care, heavily sedated. Ria was a very kind and intelligent person and always in good humour despite her personal problems.
Her funeral was open and inclusive to all who knew her and she had a wonderful send off.

I suppose you could say I'm back - although I never really went away. Still trying to pick a bit of my former life up again. So, on the hunt for a decent man to come and care for me and do what needs to be done.....

I've now applied for a new birth certificate and got it!. But my life's been good anyway and I'm not depressed about it. I also have a female driving license, passport etc. and am on hormones [with nice boobs to show for it, see below], and, if you hadn't gathered already, out and about as a woman and accepted as such in every which way...

As you can see I've now officially changed my name from Riatsila, my Lithuanian hussy name, to Ria___. I've also changed my name legally to Alison Maria - just in case you wondered.

LATEST NEWS ON ME: Progress to full recovery after last year's time in hospital is very slow and I still can't walk very well - the heels, size 9,] have had to be stored for now but I do now have a new birth certificate legally classing me as female from birth so I am 'legally' a girl !
