I’m Darren, Dazzle or Drag Name Shampayne Shirley to close friends and family. I was 50 in July 2021
I have been an internet DJ, DJ, Host and Roadie in pubs on and off since the age of 28, so I have a wealth of experience.

I’ve been a Drag Host DJ as Shampayne Shirley for over 5yrs within Portsmouth. Venues include The Fort Cumberland Arms, The Florist, The Park Tavern, The Clarence, The Graham, The Royal Beach Hotel and others across the south.
I was an Ambassador For Cancer is a Drag, which is a charity that raises funds to help families with financial help for people living with cancer. In 2 yrs, I raised around £5,000. I have also raised money for other charities such as like Terence Huggins Trust, Children in Need, Great Ormond Street and Cancer Research.
Due to Covid, I sadly lost my residency at The Graham and some of the other gigs I was doing. I am ideally looking to have a residency either as a DJ or Host, Drag or not.
I’m more of a retro DJ and passionate about the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and early 2000. I can source more up to date music, but feel there’s no real party like retro party !! I enjoy adding competitions to my evenings such as bingo, quizzes or guess the handbag. I can tailor what I do to your venue.
I am a champion of the LGBTQ Nights and would love to see a revival of haunts that would give the Old Vic , Martha’s , Joanna’s and time n envy a run for their money.
I have a great network within the Portsmouth Pride community including some of the committee and some of the queens on the scene in Portsmouth, Brighton and London. Names include DANNI DIOR , Bella Black, Cherry Liquor to name but 3
I have some LGBTQ nights in the pipeline from July 2021, but in the meantime, I am keen to see which venues are looking for a host.
