Hi,
My name's Vyvyan. I'm a freshly fortied trans woman and I'm single and sort of looking to forge friendships within the local trans community but not knowing where to look and now I've ended up on here. Approaching my fifth year on HRT.
I'm 6 foot tall, pale skinned, slim but curvy, got great boobs, blue eyes and long, greying, dark brown hair that I tend to dye a plummy purple/dark pink
I'm out to the extent I don't hide my transness from loved ones, friends and colleagues, but honestly who among us can actually be arsed with correcting pronouns at every supermarket/cornershop checkout?
I've got interests; I play electric guitar and make music at home and occasionally perform on the queer cabaret circuit. Used to do the more mainstream rock and alternative music scenes but got sick of being surrounded by straight blokes, misogyny and feeling like the only queer person in the room all the time.
My politics are about as left wing as they get, I read Shon Faye, listen to the Kill James Bond podcast and watch Abigail Thorn's Philosophy Tube series on Youtube, so that should give you some idea. If you've got any problems with that, well you can sod off. My right to exist is not up for debate.
I've got habits; I eat meat and dairy, I smoke about 10 cigs a day, used to drink a lot, but now only a couple of glasses of wine on special occasions and the odd JD & Coke if I'm at a gig. People tend to look at me with my whole rock 'n' roll vibe and attitude and assume I'm going to be some sort of stoner or human drug bin, but I've been clean as a whistle since my late twenties, and even then it was just spliffs and the occasional cheeky pill.
