So what am I wearing today? Well I started with a white satin bra and a pair of matching knickers, a silky white slip and a pair of sheer black tights. Then a black T shirt and a black pencil skirt with red traced pattern. A pair of kitten heeled sandals. A pearl necklace and earrings, a few rings, slightly wobbly make up and a blonde wig – Debbie Harry style. A sort of smart tart office look. And do you know, I feel great. I even get a bit turned on typing this. Mind it’s bloody difficult typing with false nails.
In fact it’s bloody difficult doing most things with false nails. Yesterday two of them fell off when I was in Lidl. I truly don’t know how you ever get used to long nails. Yesterday I also laddered a pair of tights, couldn’t take off a necklace and couldn’t do up the buttons on my shirt. And those heels and the pencil skirt. I love the feel, the look, the sheer sexiness but walking normally or, God forbid, running for a bus - no chance.
As T-girls we have to take extra time and effort to better blend in, hide the dangly bits, the five o’clock shadow, disguise the height. There’s the upkeep, the cost, the technical difficulties and the time it takes to get dressed and made up to a standard you’re ready to share with the world. Practice, practice, practice. Would I like to live full time as a girl? You bet. Is it going to happen? No.
Do I pass? No, not really. Too tall, masculine facial structure, too wide in the wrong places not wide enough in the right ones. But when I am out, head up, chest out, walk from the pelvis, keep smiling, I don’t get any comments. I’m sure I get read, especially when I have to open my mouth and say something. But it seems either people don’t look closely or maybe they are just getting more used to seeing T-girls around town.
Two suggestions from Zoe: If you can possibly afford it, get a proper makeover and pix. I am reallly proud of some of my makeover photos and they give me so much confidence in my appearance. Second is even easier. Smile. Real girls smile a lot more than guys. And smiling makes your face rounder and more feminine.
