I am finding it very difficult to buy things from Amazon as most of the suppliers do not use the "click and collect from post office" system. If there are any local girls (in the Buxton area) who would be willing to accept deliveries on my behalf I would be very grateful.

Bought a pair of ankle boots from Amazon, using the "collect from post office" option for delivery. Despite being a supposedly size 13, the first time I wore them the zip broke. I couldn't find a shoe repairer locally who could replace the zip, which probably would have broken again anyway, so I cut out the zip and added some lacing eyes and now have a pair of side lacing boots. Not ideal, but at least they are wearable.
I have been chatting with a local girl, but we can't meet at present. She bought a wire collar off the internet, but is too small for her at present, so she has lent it to me. It is a bit fiddly to put on, but once on it is reasonably comfortable.
As the wife was away for a few days, I took the opportunity to visit a local Pulse and Cocktails shop in Sheffield, fully dressed in my new boots, wife's maxi dress and wire collar. The shop assistant made me very welcome and shopping dressed was a pleasure. I managed to buy some new suspender panties and some toys which will be put to good use. I have now moved to the Peak District, in a small village between Bakewell and Buxton. Sadly I had to dispose of the last of my wardrobe, although in hindsight I could have kept it hidden in the garage where it always has been.
So I am now looking for some local girls who would be willing to share their wardrobes on a very occasional basis. I am size 18 clothes with size 12 feet.

Unfortunately my wife has now retired and my dressing and meeting opportunities have greatly reduced. As we are looking to relocate in the near future we are stating to declutter. This involved tidying out the loft where a lot of my wardrobe was stored. That meant a hasty reduction in my collection of shoes and clothes, and a quick trip to the charity clothes bank. I managed to keep about 6 dresses, four pairs of shoes and all my wigs but the rest all went. I am still hopeful that there will be some free time to dress and hopefully meet up with some of my friends for some girly fun, but this will always have to be arranged I well in advance and may be subject to late cancellation, but I hope my friend will understand and tolerate these problems

Just got back from a make-up lesson/makeover with Rosie at Celebwigs. Wonderful experience and very good value at £50. Have uploaded a few shots taken by Rosie. Went home fully made-up, including false eyelashes and changed wardrobe for some more pictures, which I have loaded onto my flickr page

My new 9 inch platform heels have just arrived from a Chinese e-bay trader - only took two weeks to arrive and no problems with Customs. Went out and bought a new wig from Celebwigs to celebrate their arrival.
Update 23 September
Another year gone, 61 years old, and still wearing 7 inch heels, but Hey age is just a number - I'm only a day older than I was yesterday. I've taken early retirement and got a part time job to supplement my pension, so lots of spare time at the moment to dress every day - heaven. Would love to chat and meet with any local girls

Just been back to Celebwigs for the Friday afternoon open house session, and came away with two new wigs. I am very grateful to Dori for the time and attention she gave to me, choosing and adjusting my new wigs to suit my features - all I need now is a makeover to make the face more presentable. I would urge anyone, especially the local girls to get in touch and go along to experience the wonderful customer service offered

Finally got up the courage to go out dressed in daylight. I've been to the Honour Shop and warehouse in Watford (www.honour.co.uk ) and they are quite happy for you to go dressed. There is a limited car park right outside, but it is on a small trading estate so there is a fair bit of activity around. But I just took the bull by the horns, parked up and went in. It was really great to wander around dressed and try on the stock - I came away with my red strappy heels and a corset.
Since then I've been a few times to a local e-bay trader who sells wigs, (www.celebwigs.com ) and they are also very happy for you to turn up dressed. There is good parking in a large private house and not too public, for the shyer ones amongst us, and they make you feel very welcome. She is on here as DoriDolly, and I can thoroughly recommend the service and welcome you receive. Tell her Amanda recommended you.
