My name is Beth Seymour and I have a condition called Gender Dysphoria. I knew I was different around the age of 7, that there was something wrong with my body. Back in the 60’s and 70’s little was known of the term Transsexual. Later in my life after two divorces and a mental breakdown I knew something had to be done.
As I said to my mother, what would you rather have a dead son or a happy contented daughter. Because being her son I was a drunk with severe depression who was on a downward spiral.
For one, what is going up in there, I wish I knew that myself. I questioned myself for many years and now being in my fifties (yes I am that old) I decided not to fight against it but to go with the flow. To find a decent counsellor, psychologist is the luck of the draw. My experiences have been many a varied and always through the NHS.
Some help and some do harm and my conclusion was that I now do not need that sort of help. But that is after 30 years of contemplation and reflecting on my life.
I am not interested in fun and please take note, i AM MARRIED.
I am 6 foot, blue eyes and have my own hair.
