40 something, trans, and trying hard to work things out..
it's been 12 years. So why am I still here? Not for dating really, I don't have much to offer currently.
Despite the somewhat dated 'TV' title, it seems there is still a broad range of trans people here, going through a similar experience, with much information and opinion to share. Also to keep up with local events.
December 2020
in 2019 I decided to persue medical and social transition. There was much to achieve to start this, but having satisfied the needs of the provider, started HRT in November. By Christmas, subtle changes were apparent
in early 2020 however, as for many people, it all went a bit wrong.
Going out was a release from the trans feelings, a way of socialising as myself, and an opportunity to catch up with other trans people. This all ceased overnight the the hospitality industry shut down.
There were also some side effects from the treatment which were difficult to monitor due to the Covid situation. Not knowing if my job would survive lockdown, it was also necessary to rethink and delay the workplace transition.
So sadly it’s all on pause for now, which is difficult to deal with at times - and everything now just seems a mess.
2018...
Eight years on..... Still regularly out in the usual places: Nocturnal trips to London, Brighton, Milton Keynes etc. It's all a bit familiar now...

Has it really been over a year since I updated this?...
Things have moved on a little since that nervous first trip to Transister in Brighton in 2008.

In early years, during sporadic periods of misjudged online shopping, I slowly built up a small wardrobe, makeup etc. More miss than hit at times. But eventually I figured out what makeup went where, what size clothes I needed, and made it outside the front door to a trans venue for the first time
5"9, brown (more often blonde) hair and brown eyes.
