Well .... I know i dont get here very often these days, but cant believe my profile is so out of date!! The past few years have been a roller coaster - some ups, and a massive down when i lost my closest friend to MND :( But my wardrobe has expanded - albeit slightly more than my waistline (but finally i am working on that too ) and I have made it to Sparkle every year since, and made some great friends in the T community. Still not into men - sorry, but have finally found a TV g/f who is amazing - hopefully some fun times ahead :)

What a year. Having taken my first tentative steps in girly shoes, only 6 months ago I have already been out to a couple of local TG group meetings, and had an awesome night out on Canal St in Manchester with friends. Looks like I will be off to Sparkle next summer, plus a few more visits to Canal St in the planning, and maybe LFF. Cant wait - roll on 2014!
Wow - been out twice in a fortnight, I think I may be letting the genie out of the bottle.....
A big decision, but I have decided to change my name - this is due to the fact I dont 'feel' like Clair anymore ...... so she has to go and its now welcome to Alison. Alison has the opportunity to be a bit more well rounded than Clair ever was, but I think the more 'naughty' side of Alison may well be closer to the persona Clair was - time will tell.
I dont feel the need to alter my physical profile at this point coz Alison still has 2 arms, a pair of legs (prob my best point) and hasnt grown an extra head or suchlike - the only thing is she seems to sway between blonde, and redhead as the mood takes her at the moment.
Well, things move on, and today I took my first tentative steps out into the big world by going for a makeover, and then attended a TG meeting .... and it was AWESOME (thanks Jayne). I have found I like classy dresses and daywear now as well, so I can see the need for more wardrobe space comng on - lol
I am a hetro crossdresser who just wishes I had made more of the opportunity (or tried to make opportunity) to dress more when I was younger as these days I dont tend to like what I see in the mirror. Clair is now more of a state of mind than a physical presence in my life than she was previously. Who knows - sometime in the future when work and everything else takes up less of my time she may return in a more practical sense.
As far as my appearance goes I feel like a slender blonde with blue eyes and long legs - sadly I think when him upstairs was handing out looks he had a great laugh by making me anything but! I was blonde once, but these days its more grey, and he made my legs shorter by putting my ankles in the wrong place so i got shorter legs and bigger feet (although that is something useful when living on the fens).
