The latest news:
June 2026 LFF: I met up with some friends for a meal and a social drink or two where we:
- thanked the gods for giving us a window of calm, dry weather to keep the hair in place and avoid experiencing the ignominy of fighting with an inverted umbrella
- decided that the juxtaposition of a posh frock against a background of urban decay only creates a decent photo if in monochrome
- listened to a live band whose encore was Tiffany's "I Think We're Alone Now" played in the style of the Dead Kennedys. Yes, really. And it sounded a lot better that you imagine.
- used the ladies toilets as we have always done without any issue.
How the night flew by.

This week I am mostly: listening to Tiffany's version of "I Think We're Alone Now" and imagining Jello Biafra singing the lines "Look at the way, we gotta hide what we're doing, 'cause what would they say, if they knew" without it sounding as though the crime of the century had just been committed.
