The latest news:
February 2025 LFF: I met up with some friends for a meal and a social drink or two where we:
- inhaled a helium balloon, reliving our wasted childhoods where we behaved like idiots.
- chatted with a Millwall fan with a sensitive and understanding side to him. Not what I was expecting, but that reflects more on me than them.
- resisted the temptation to go up to a guy in a tuxedo, sitting on his own in a hotel bar, and say "Mr. Bond, we have been expecting you" then pull out a laser pen and slowly inch it along the floor towards his crotch in a Goldfinger stylee.
- discovered that New York's nickname as the 'Big Apple' originated from a horse racing expression where the Big Apple referred to the biggest event in the US racing calendar at the time, which was held in New York. Now you know!
