Just a quick note before I begin - I see no other way of doing this. A huge thank you to everybody who left me a birthday message. It was such a wonderful surprise when I logged in. Hopefully one or more of us can meet up if things get back to normal again.
Ever since I was about 8 years old, I always wanted to be a girl. Being brought up in the 1950's I spent most of my life trying to hide this fact, although around the age of 8-9 I managed to persuade my mum to let me dress as a girl when dad was away. Eventually my dad found out and put an end to it and made me feel ashamed.
I kept a pink dress hidden in the hayloft for years until it fell to bits and used to climb up there and put it on. I would find different ways to wear a dress that nobody would think twice about like the one in my Red Indian costume and my Roman tunic and toga, but these were never as good as a pink party frock.
As I grew older and got some independence, I learned how to make my own dresses although I still got funny looks sometimes at the fabric stores! As I got more money I started buying clothes from the Kays, Littlewoods or Fashion Extra catalogues. I have always been big and getting the right size was always a problem even before I got older and more cuddly. The internet and some fabulous plus size stores now mean I can get really nice clothes that fit my size 24 body.
Because I am big and have a nasty birthmark on my leg, I am still very self-conscious. Also, I am not young, although I still follow disco/house music and produce some of my own using Logic Pro on my Apple computer.
I am not homosexual either, although I do fancy a man who is bigger than me to make me feel more like a little girl. My picture with Henry VIII in Portsmouth gives a good example :)
Hoping so much to connect with other trans/tv people as I need badly to come out and be myself instead of dressing in mens clothes and putting on the show that my family and friends expect.
