I am a septuagenarian widower and have been a cross-dresser since my early teens. This need was suppressed during nearly fifty years of marriage, but, after the sad death of my wife, I have been able to give my female persona free reign. I love dressing as a woman, but I am still not confident enough to leave the house on my own; luckily I have one or two very supportive friends.
I believe that everyone has, to a greater or lesser degree, both male and female tendencies and I place myself at around fifty/fifty - typical Gemini! I am happiest as a woman though, I just haven't perfected my look yet. Had my life worked out differently, I would probably have fully transitioned long ago, but it is too late now. So I content myself with being 'she' whenever the fancy takes me, I feel happier and more gregarious as a woman.
I am fairly intelligent, well-read and speak four languages, love travelling, reading, playing golf and blowing my own trumpet. My eyes are grey, as is my hair. Naked (not a pretty sight), my weight is 67.5 kgs, my height is 175 cms and I am told I have a nice figure.
Bought a new wig from Hairlucinations in Littlehampton, I would recommend them to any other ladies in search of advice or inspiration, they are very helpful and discreet. Road-tested the wig on an overnight outing in Brighton, huge success! Even a bus full of foreign-language students failed to put me off and thankfully the driver didn't check the photo on my bus pass. The evening was spent in the company of old, and very understanding, school-friends and a great time was had by all. Most satisfactory!
10/17: After talks with my GP, I have embarked on a course of Finasteride, a testosterone suppressant. He has also referred me, at their request, to the Tavistock and Portman gender clinic. If anyone who reads this has already been down this road, please tell me about it.
