Transvestite

Favorite Look:
Classy / Stylish

------- 03.04.2025 Now the weather's got nicer there's no excuse girls... xxx -----

Preliminaries:

The one and only Greene. I love her very, very much and she is a yummy mummy! xxxxx

I AM IN AN EXCLUSIVE, MONOGAMOUS RELATIONSHIP WITH 'ER.

Introductions:

Hi my name is Rachel. I am thrilled to be a transvestite. I love to go out, I love to stay in and I love to meet and chat to all kinds of people, virtually and in person. I also seem to have a fairly serious obsession with having photographs taken of myself and the odd moving picture. I dress from synthetic crown to my painted toes as much like a stylish lady as I can.

If you would like to see more of me, you can follow the link to my Flickr page above and peruse my photostream. It is arranged using helpfully themed albums.

Psycho-babble:

When I am not leaping from tree to tree as they float down the mighty rivers of British Colombia, Miss Boom Boom ("BB" to her friends) sometimes comes out to play. Her persona is clearly intrinsically linked to that of her male alter ego. But people who know me well, do say that I behave differently as Rachel. I guess in some ways she mixes up my personality traits a little and expresses them slightly differently. Rachel is definitely a BIG part of my self esteem and I feel most at ease with myself when I am 'en femme.' This is equally true if I am out on the tiles, or curled up at home. I am delighted by the fact that I only know some of my amazing friends because I like to dress up the way I do. Long may it all continue!

Rachel is a big part of my 'me' time, so she is very shellfish (Zoidburg joke for The Greene, "And perhaps gifts why not?"). It takes a lot of effort and and no little expense before I am happy to face the world. I lurve playing at being a lady: Sitting, standing, walking, dancing etc but I don't take it too seriously. I appreciate that anatomy, physiology and age are against me and that I have a very limited shelf-life and must accept that I turn into pumpkin after a few hours. This unfortunate process is accelerated by the demon drink and attempting to shake my booty roughly in time with music.

Description:

I am now in my mid 40's (*sniff*), 5'10'' in my stocking-clad feet and a curvaceous 36-29-36. I have the common affliction of being a smaller size on the bottom than on the top (10ish as opposed to 12ish) curse my shoulders! I have size 8/41 feets, what I found out recently is called a retroussé nose, two ears and green eyes. I have tried quite a few shades on my head, but I feel I am honey blonde at heart. If only I could put it up like this at will! Flickr seems to bear this predilection out statistically.

What a girl likes:

I like to wear what some ladies of *cough* roughly my age tend to wear: Shoes shoes SHOES!! High-heeled shoes and boots and all manner of outfits. You see an outfit starts at the floor and works its way upwards! I have oft heard it said that life is short so heels should not be...

I enjoy visiting friendly venues in indecently short hem lines or even darling little shorts. I also like to wear *GASP* jeans AND trousers. One can look every bit as attractive in trousers as one can in skirts and dresses, so I am happy to wear them both as best I can.

What a girl needs:

HIGH HEELS!!! Vertiginous, beetling, steepling, towering, skyscrapering heels!!! :-D The sound they make on a hard surface excites me far too much. Their shape and the shape they mould your foot into and the way they make you walk and stand, AND what they do to your legs, butt and posture. They are the single biggest part of this whole affair for me. I am at my happiest when strutting/tottering around in some eye-catching stilettos.

My likes far outstrip my means, after all a girl can never have too many. However, thanks to a very generous friend I now have some Christian Louboutins thanks Jen! More recently I treated myself to a gorgeous pair of courts from Rey Rey.

My Favourite brands include Faith, Ravel, Dune, Aldo, Office, and Schuh

New Look do excellent shoes and never underestimate the mighty Amazon or eBay either! I have also patronised more specialist retailers of footwear...

I adore BOOTS too: Calf, knee or over-the-knee and of course shboots are so cute too. (Now with added trendy tassels)! If you can believe it, until relatively recently I had never owned a pair of ankle boots. This has now been rectified with a vengeance. An über favourite look of mine is high boots worn with skinny jeans/tight trousers.

--------------------------FOOTWEAR STATUS REPORT--------------------

Current shoe count :

#47 pairs of HIGH HEELS: These blue snakeskin courts from Rey Rey were a birthday present to myself...

#27 pairs of BOOTS: I have these mock croc bottle green pull-on beauties are from Debenhams. Very high but very comfy and they negotiated the permafrost!

I now have two pairs of lil pink trainahs. These are gym-ready. I also have the Glee Cheerio white Nikes. For summer temperatures and challenging terrain, I bought these espadrilles.

--------------------------FOOTWEAR STATUS REPORT---------------------

LINGERIE: After one has chosen the shoes, outfit construction takes in the choice of lingerie. I would LOVE something really posh to go with my Louboutins! [Hint Hint]! I delight in the burlesque look in a big way. I adore fully fashioned stockings, corsets and faux vintage lingerie. In particular I wear What Katie Did.

SHORT SKIRTS AND DRESSES: Oh the delicious feeling of a cool breeze on one's silken thighs!!!

SHORT SHORTS: "We like short shorts!" These ones are real leather and feel as good as they look...

SUITS and OFFICE ATTIRE: My sassy work wardrobe continues to grow, thanks in part to some very generous donations. Oh to do it for real... power dressing rocks!!!

In addition I love hair up; especially in plaits; SUNGLASSES worn on the top of the head; HAIR BANDS and myriad other wondrous and shiny things.

Essentially what I admire in "feminine" appearance and demeanour, I try to emulate.

Dislikes:

Please do not leave smutty comments on my Flickr pictures. Some of my vanilla friends take a peek too you know!

Those silly labels that leave a sticky square on the bottom of new shoes; body hair (mainly mine); people who don't at least make a cursory attempt to read profiles (fair play this one is ridiculously long) people who talk too loudly; containers that don't pour properly and my false nails falling off and not being able to find them.

Chums:

Jaye is far too pretty to be a girl!

The delightful Miss Lenoir and Madame Fifibelle her spouse. As always they are setting the tone for the rest of us. They have been present on some of my most delightful excursions and are the best dressed couple in Christendom.

Rachel is blazing quite a trail in elegance and style. You have to ask her nicely to see her work mind. She is also my chief make-up consultant.

Sweet is mistress of ceremonies for my social calendar.

Natalie is the most charming companion on a night out.

Jennifer, Chloe and James are now my beloved companions on social adventures.

More recently Danielle, Melissa and Hannah have joined the coven.

Out and about:

I have been going, "Aat, aat," for many years now. In addition to Pink Punters near Milton Keynes, I have been out in Manchester, Nottingham, Brighton and Portsmouth and latterly Leeds, as well as venues in London and have had superb experiences in all these places.

Personal highlights include...

My first ever drag makeover. I could definitely get used to being made up, dressed, posed, photographed and taken on a night out. A huge thank you to Poppy and her team.

...Making a man miss his mouth with his fork, whilst eating his dinner as I tottered past in Nottingham.

Think it might have been the hotpants.

...Being hollered at from a car in Manchester, they were most surprised when I spoke.

Can't think what caught their attention.

...Confusing drunken wedding guests at the Barbican Thistle in London after my first ever Transmission.

Must have been the booze.

...Being informed in a Travel Lodge lobby after a Club Rub

"Hey, you're not girls!"

...More recently a charming man at the Hampshire Boulevard in Portsmouth said wistfully

"The two best looking birds in this place are blokes, and you're one of them!"

...And is it a complement to be told separately by a woman and then a man that

one's voice is too deep for a trans woman's?!

...A member of door staff calling me Barbie!

A trans lady with lovely long hair refusing to believe my updo wasn't real.

Explorations will continue ... ;-)

The Bucket List:

Here are some outfits/activities that I should like to do. If anyone can facilitate any of them please let me know.

* Pose on a horse in full dressage gear including black top hat and veil
* Showgirl/ carnival girl with a massive headdress!
* Go to a garden party appropriately attired, or the races
* Dress up like Eliza Doolittle at Ascot in the film My Fair Lady
* Ditto Marry Poppins and Truly Scrumptious on their adventures
* Re-enact Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman from Batman Returns
* Be one of Charlie's Angels with a muscle car to pose in/on
* Pose on a nice motorbike as a pitgirl
* Pose on an appropriate motorbike as a girl from CHIPS
* I actually want to BE Wonder Woman!
* And Truly Scrumptious...
* I'd certainly like to be a comic book heroine if anyone is feeling creative... :-)
* I would very much like to dress up like Aunty Entity (Tina Turner) in Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome.
* Attend Comic Con as Harely Quinn
* Jolly hockey sticks in a Team GB lady's hockey kit (ideally Sam Quek's :-P)
* Kick up my heels in a genuine NFL cheerleader uniform
* Dress and make up a la Cats

And finally, ladies who have a lot to answer for (inspirational and aspirational and mighty fine). I have decided to rationalise this section. See if you can guess why exactly they make the list. There is clearly some cross-over between métiers :

Aisha Bowe is my current favourite thing in the world!

Comicbook/Cartoon Characters:

Jessica Rabbit, Cheetara, She Rah, Penelope Pitstop, Catwoman, Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Silk Spectre II, Turanaga Leela and Amy Wong.

Icon:

Dita Von Teese

Clouseau having to don female attire in The Revenge of the Pink Panther affected me deeply in my formative years! "I am not some run of the mill transvestite!" As did Valerie Leon's dominatrix... Also impactive were the Two Ronnies' serial sketch, The Worm That Turned, cross-dressing in Allo Allo, Pantomimes and Shirley Eaton in Carry on Nurse.

If you have got this far: kisses!! You will be in receipt of a stunning mystery prize, as soon as I decide what it is. On your lengthy odyssey down this here page, you may have noted my predilection for hyperlinks (updated as appropriate) short, pithy paragraphs, ((parentheses)) and exclamation marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oooo and pretentious wordplay.
