I would like to say thank you for the Valentines I received in 2026, they brightened up my day. I have worked out who some are from and working on trying to identify the others.
Have been trying out my photos on pictriev and how-old.net and it showed my age as between 26 and 41. Well pleased with that as I am past the 60 mark. pictriev also gives % as male or female and the one photo showed as 99% female. Thank you to Suzie in Dublin for those stunning results.
Was looking around the make up in Boots and noticed on the Benefit counter they had cards offering make up lessons. I picked on up and asked one of the girls how much notice you had to give to book one. She turned round and said if you have the time we can do it now. So on 23rd december in a prominent position in all the Christmas shoppers I spent 40 minutes having make up applied and the different methods and tricks. All this while in male mode. Having a break in Las Vegas and went for a full manicure and pedicure. Called in at the Bare Minerals counter in John Lewis, Solihull today. The assistant, Fran, was most helpful with colours and different products and gave me a full makeover, even though I was in male mode. If any gurls are in the area and need somewhere to buy make up without feeling embarrassed I can recommend here and as the counter is near the back of the store with easy access from the car park, so not very likely that you will be noticed by anybody.Unfortunately, Fran has now left Bare Minerals.

Have been dressing for many years with the full support of my partner. Quick update regarding my partner. News that Debenhams will not be reopening in Birmingham means I will have to find other places to go for make up advice
Have my nails done (with my partner) every four weeks and have had a number of compliments from women in different situations while in male mode.

Barmaid at the local bar was having a karaoke night for her birthday and asked if I would go as Cathy.
Who am I to refuse the opportunity. Went in a red dress and the landlady told me red was my colour. Chatted to a number of people who had not seen me as Cathy before. Had a good night but I did not sing!!

Back to the local bar for another drag queen night. Chose a green dress for this visit and plenty of compliments again.

A visit to sensual passions for a makeover by Sonia. A great make up artist and a lovely person. The time went too quickly.

Saturday at Sparkle. Started at hotel at Salford Quays. Got ready and walked out of the hotel to the tram stop and caught the tram to St Peter's Square. Walked across to Canal Street and into the park quite early . A number of people on the stalls complimented me on my dress (always a good boost when first there) and had a good chat with a few people. A couple of people said they recognised me from my Flickr page (at least it showed I don't alter my photos on there). Sat and listened to some of the entertainment while having a coffee and also chatting with some others there. Met up with a few people I know before heading to a bar and having a drink while my friend went upstairs to assist with a medical survey about the effect of hormones on bone and muscle. More compliments, especially as I was in heels. Later it was back to the tram stop for the ride back to my hotel and the end of another good day out.

Being in Las Vegas meant a visit to Amy at Just You for a makeover. The previous evening myself and the friends I am stopping with met Amy and her partner in a bar for a games night. Also there was another dresser who was booked in with Amy after me. It was arranged that we would all go out for a meal after Amy had worked her magic. I was booked in first so after choosing an outfit (which was difficult from the selection that Amy had on offer) it was into the make up chair. After she has changed my appearance totally it was time for the hair. Again a choice that made it difficult to choose but finally selected and then ready for some photos. It was then time to wait for the next makeover. When that was done it was time to head out to Sammy's restaurant for dinner. Back home then after a great day.
Having arrived home it was decided that my new look should not be hidden from the world so it was off to Skye bar for a couple of drinks and a bit of low level gambling. The locals all friendly.

Drag queen night at the local pub again. One of the off duty barmaids arrived with 5 friends (all female) and came and sat with me making it like a hen party. They started discussing their shoes and it turned out I was wearing the highest heels despite having to walk to and from the pub. Plenty of compliments from men and women with a couple of the women telling me they wanted my dress

Christmas quiz time at the local pub so time to dig out my Mrs Claus outfit. We didn't win but I did get a prize for one of the best festive outfits.

Barmaid's birthday karaoke night at the local bar again so another opportunity to be out as Cathy. Went in a short sixties dress which I probably should not be wearing at my age, but as a few people said to me 'if you have the legs show them off'. I was not persuaded to sing though.
