Winter Ball by BWBG (Friday, November 22, 2019)

This is a super venue. Such a shame more people did not make it. Drinks prices somewhat steep and for the money not much offered beyond the venue and some entertainment which was not for all. For next year....perhaps some nibbles and food available, bit of a red carpet entrance, slightly classier entertainment |

A lovely evening was had along with lots of other fabulous looking girls in their posh evening dresses. The venue was smart and the atmosphere was relaxing with a fun vibe. There were certainly no security worries. The music catered for various tastes and cabaret was fun if not what I would have chosen. The two bars were a bit limited in the range of drinks available, but perhaps that was down to the disappointing number of tickets sold. A summer ball with a buffet would be a lovely successor event. |

A great excuse to dress to the nines! It was well run and the venue was fabulous, it was pretty well attended and I'm sure it will become even more popular following the success of the first one.

The ladies made an effort and most were dressed for the occasion and looked great. Guys too. The venue was enjoyable as well. Disco was OK. On the negative side, I thought some canapes were promised, so people had no food available, not even from the bars (crisps etc) and some had come a long way. The cabaret was poor, in my opinion, and we didn't bother to watch the second half. That half might have been better of course. To get from Brighton to the venue and back from Brighton is £70.00 by cab so not a cheap night out. It would have been nice to meet Cindy. I don't know if she was around to mingle with the guests. Apart from the venue, we can do the same thing for minimal expense in a club or safe T-girl venue. |
