📣🌈 Calling all Queer, Quirky and Quinky; BrumsQueerMarket is back. #BQM After an incredible launch, we return to the Village Inn and Nightingale Club for our second gathering. BQM is a quarterly market built to celebrate, support and connect Birmingham’s LGBTQIA+ and alternative communities, and we are just getting started. Plans have shifted slightly, and we’ll now be gathering on Saturday 16th May. Same energy, same community, just a new date and the perfect pre-Pride warm-up. As you step inside, you’ll land in our open ground floor space, where the market begins. Here you’ll find a mix of traders alongside our Connection Zone, woven into the heart of the room. This space is designed for slowing down, striking up conversation, and finding your people. Settle into booth seating, grab a drink from the bar, and explore: Local LGBTQIA+ history Services and support information Friendship bracelet crafting Sexual health resources provided by Birmingham LGBT You’ll also find moments of connection happening live within this space, including Drag Queen Storytime, creating room for shared stories, expression, and community in its most joyful form. Step outside into the beer garden for a breather, where our food vendors will be serving throughout the day. From there, follow the flow upstairs into our dedicated trader floors, where Liberation Avenue comes into full effect. You’ll find a packed marketplace of independent makers and creatives, accessible by both lift and stairs. Expect to discover: Alternative fashion LGBTQIA+ literature and art Leather craftsmanship Glasswork and decor Handmade jewellery Gothic pieces and curiosities Throughout the day, moments of community will unfold around you. The Radical Celebrant will be present, holding space for conversation around their work as well as offering a live naming ceremony. You’re invited to witness, reflect, or simply exist alongside it. A wonderful experience, Thoroughly recommend the full event, from roaming around the market traders, some very interesting items on sale. Fabulous demonstrations, friendly staff, Have no idea where 10 hrs went, Can’t wait for the next one in March, definitely will be attending. |

I would upload the pictures but I was not dressed as Cristella [knotthatway on other sites ;D] but anyway. This was my first time at the BBB Afterparty = as I have been to the fair previous - it was so much fun and especially liked the electro play that was on offer and would love to explore this further with my other half, this would definitely be a great opportunity to explore especially if you are slightly new to the kink scene.

Wow thanks to everyone who attended and made The BBB the best attended January one for over a decade despite the cold weather and public transport timetables in havoc due to staff shortages. Thank to everyone who did an LFT test at home and on the door to help keep our community safe, for wearing masks and being considerate to others when moving round our 3 storeys. Our new Education Evolution format of a short demo at 1.30pm leading into an indepth demo workshop in the evening worked so well with BDSM101 very well attended both on the ground floor stage in the afternoon and then filling the cafe in the evening where Faye and Beastie covered all the basics of consent, etiquette, the scene, body map, basic toy bag etc with a Q&A afterwards. Next month is waxplay for both our demos! Our 3 floors were packed with traders 49 of them covering all aspects of kink and with lots of small artisan traders making so much gear by hand you really do find some amazing gear. Our traders are so friendly and knowledgeable about their products and are all willing to chat enthusiasticly all day about their wares (if you let them...!). If you bought some new toys then do tag us in for a mention and tag the traders in too they love to see their toys going to good homes. Thanks everyone who dressed up in our Rocky Horror Picture Show theme and also came up on stage to dance the Time Warp rather fun with so many of the audience joining in, our Columbia's, Dr Frankenfurters, Magenta's, Eddie Brad and Janet did an outstanding job let by Tara with KinkyMonkey79 showing a great example of a pelvic thrust with her giant strap-on! Heelhussy donated a book collection for prizes so every entrant won a smashing book thanks so much lovely! The 12 noon intro was well handled by Beastie being impromptu compere for the day and a Trader Talk with Funishments dice game. Meet a Mistress rubber nurse Beth Bedlam really enjoyed her time with a number of visitors having a chat and judging our Best Dressed. Our top floor ABDL munch was a quiet enjoyable space to colour and read making new friends to enjoy the evening LittlesLounge A huge thanks to our staffing team who all made the effort and crewed like Spartans all day we had lost a few staff so they all worked even harder, and judging by the team Whatsapp comments are all totally shattered but smiling today. Thank you so much for attending and keeping the BBB alive for not only yourselves but the next generation of kinksters to enjoy and be educated.
