This used to be an iconic hotel for girls to stay in back in the day because of its old fashined architecture and spectacular centre staircase and huge chandalier giving some awesome photo opportunities.

For the last few years it had been allowed to run down and was unloved by the owners but this year they have gone through the hotel cleaning and painting it so while it is still sparesly furnished and budget it is now clean and tidy and value for money.

The best rooms to book are the "executive" as they are larger so you can spread your stuff out, they have windows and tend to be in the quieter parts of the building.

To get to the Village either go left out of the hotel and then left again down Chorlton Street which puts you right in the middle of Canal Street or right out of the hotel and right again down Minishull Street which gets you to the Piccadilly end of Canal Street, both routes take about 2 minutes.
