A mainstay of the LGBT community since the mid 1990's and previously known as Paddy's Goose & The Famous Paddy's Goose but the building goes back to the mid-19th century and has been known as The Rams Head, The Fleece Tavern and the Kingston Hotel.

Had a £300,000 refurbishment in April 2024 to make a brighter, more modern and more vibrant venue with lots of photo opportunities with a floral wall and a giant neon Goose.

Staff are friendly and the bar range and prices are typical beers, wines, spirits and cocktails at typical city centre prices. There is also Rainbow Juice, the Goose's own draught lager where 10p of every pint sold is donated to The George House Trust.

Depending on the evening there will be open mic nights, karaoke and drag queen DJ's.
