Description:
On Princess Street, just cross over the road and you are in canal Street. It was formerly "The Atrium" but nothing like the Atrium was. It is now one of those new-fangled co-working/hotel/gymnasium/cocktail bar/leisure/third spaces populated by bright young things on laptops.Join their membership scheme to get 10% off if you book on their website.
Rooms are aparthotel style, clean and spacious with fully equipped Kitchens, a good experience for generally a value for money price remembering that hotel prices can rocket when there are events on in Manchester.
You do have to walk past reception then through the bar to get in and out of the hotel, not that's not a big issue as the staff are friendly and used to seeing trans people. I drop in there often myself and I never go anywhere quietly so it is a suitable hotel for nervous or inexperienced girls.
The bar area has very trendy but with uneven designer floor tiles, if you are wearing vertiginous heels, do a quick mental risk assessment before you walk over those tiles.
There is a choice of car parking nearby, the NCP multi storey in Whitworth Street, (Manchester Palace Atwood Street on the NCP website), is the nearest but expensive. Just a two minute walk down Princess Street there is the NCP Manchester Circle Square with a further 10% off if you have the NCP App.
