A few minutes walk out of the Village along Portland Street to its junction with Oxford Street, on the edge of the theatre district.

A venue for experienced girls rather than the novice or nervous, due to the walk along Portland Street which is usually busy and that the customers will be mostly theatre goers, office workers and tourists.

It can get busy around theatre times so booking is recommended then. Prices are average for a city centre restaurant. Portions are rather large so if you are in a tight dress or skirt I would suggest skipping the starter.

Reviews on tripadvisor are mixed so it is a restaurant where you should check some reviews first to make sure it is one for you. My personal experience is that if you have even a mildly noisy group on nearby tables it can be hard to hear any conversations on your table.

🌆 THIS WEDNESDAY EVENING: MANCHESTER DINNER AND VILLAGE SOCIAL

🕓 AFTERNOON BEFORE THE DINNER
For anyone arriving early, I will be in Via from mid-afternoon, you are very welcome to join me and whoever else chooses to gather there for a social drink and chat until we leave for Giorgio’s shortly before 7.00pm.

🍽️ DINNER AT GIORGIO’S, FROM 7.00PM
Giorgio’s Italian Restaurant on Portland Street, just 5 minutes walk from Via, is a long-established, family-owned restaurant that always makes us feel very welcome so you will be right at home.

I have currently booked 16 places. If you would like to join us, please either contact me directly or mark yourself as attending this event so I can keep the booking matched to the number of people coming.

🍸 AFTER DINNER
Once dinner is over, you can either drift back to the Village or join those of us staying in the city centre, we plan to go to Vada Vada until around 11.00pm and then move on to Fab Café until early morning.

👋 NEW VISITORS
If you are new or feeling a little shy, you are especially welcome. I can arrange for someone to meet you, introduce you to people and help you settle in. Nobody needs to spend the evening alone as we have a friendly, supportive group with experience at every stage of the transgender journey.

🔒 THE BUZZ
You are also welcome to join our local Facebook group, The Buzz. It is a private networking group for our local events, just ask me for an invitation.

👥 MEN
Men are welcome to join us. Please either come with one of our ladies or contact me beforehand so I can make sure you are introduced to everyone. Please also come with appropriate expectations as we are a social group, not a dating or hook-up group.

🌈 VILLAGE-ONLY OPTION 🕕 6.00PM TO 🌙 LATE IN THE EVENING
For anyone who does not wish to join the dinner, the usual Village evening will continue independently. People usually gather at Velvet on Canal Street earlier in the evening. Other venues include:
• The Molly House, although it prioritises its folk music some Wednesdays
• The Goose, although it prioritises its quiz night on Wednesdays
• Oscars
• EVA
• The Church
• Centre Stage
• Iconic
• Brewers
• Via
• NY2, café bar only
Given the number of bars people are not always in the same place, at the same time so it is a good idea to put yourself as being at the event and then message others that have done so to try and arrange meet ups, message me if necessary and I will try to connect people but the village people do not always keep me in touch with where they are exactly.

Alison always organises a great night out, and this was no exception. It was great to see so many ladies out and some new faces. It's so nice to hear different stories about people's experiences, and it was great to experience so many different bars! I was in my bed soon after 3, I just hope my dress recovers after the soaking in the rain!

Truly enjoyed a superb night in Manchester in convivial company, where i met really nice people.Throughout the evening i was struck by the friendliness of everyone.The meal at Georgios was superb.The location is ideal,and easy to get to, and the surrounding venues cater for all tastes. Special thankyou to Alison for arranging the event which takes hard work.I shall definitely be back, and highly recommend the Manchester social event.

A fantastic night out. Knew it would be. Planned going months in advance with that in mind. Alison takes the time to make sure the meal and evening goes plan (as much as it can). Georgeio's is a nice italian family restraunt. They also take the time to make sure we have a good meal. Best bit ? Met some lovely girls, some i knew, so i didnt. Their personalities, thoughts, stories really interest and inspire me. I do find some them so attractive too. A really 'from the heart' review from me. I hope to go again to one of Alison's nights out and i recomend it to others too.

A great event organised by the wonderful Alison. There was a real mix of personalities at this table, that made for an interesting meal. The food was lovely and the hosts couldnt do enough for us. Prices seemed reasonable. Will be looking forward to going again if Alison does another meal out in the future.
