Description:
Located just outside the village in Portland Street and an OK venue if you want to try somewhere outside of the village but within easy walking distance.Reasonably priced drinks and food but the staff service can be unpredictable, they can often be over worked and too inefficient/too busy so I would recommend using the app to order rather than queueing for what can be very unpredictable service levels from the bar staff.
Staff and customers do not blink an eyelid at Trans people being there, (I have eaten there alone many times) so you can relax, either alone or have a nice and relaxed social with friends.
It is easy to get to the Village from here, turn right out of Yates and thehn immediate first right down Chorlton Street, 1 minutes walk and you are in Canal Street.
Toilets, this is the area where the owners of this business want to come into 2024 and stop loitering in the 1970's. When you get to the upstairs toilets you are presented with the big, brash and bold signposted options of "Male" or "Female" rooms (see picture), like if it was not so tragically unfunny it would just be funny.
Check that your cubicle has toilet paper as keeping that in stock in their very gender de-lineated toilets is another weak point of the staff here.
