GTF is a well established event, I have added this event for the 2nd Friday but will be moving to the 3rd Friday as from February. We can be the most active trans+ socials in Scotland 🏴 This is just a regular Glasgow night out, Not just a GTF group event, A Fun, safe out at the pub with friends, the main focus is everyone safe and supported in the wider Glasgow community. If you are transgender/transsexual/transvestite/a crossdresser, an ally or a significant other, We're here to support, entertain and inspire in safe, comfortable surroundings. The group has already done over 45 events over the last 3 years. Why not come along and meet some new wonderful friends. We had on average 15 to 20 girls out every time we meet. We want these nights to be self-reliant and stand on its own. Little input from anyone, just show up and you will have friends there. If you can't make these nights, organise your own make an event invite others, there is a need for more Scottish night out. This has shown Glasgow got loads of girls here and are dying to go out. Hopefully this will put Glasgow back on the UK T-Girl map as a viable option. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ START POINT: We picked Speakeasy 6pm it's quite bar can get seats. The bar also does food, the entertainment doesn't start till 9ish, and it's a great wee bar, to start off at. During summer, we do meet a bit early 4.30pm in The Gallery Bar in the afternoon, it's outside seating and table service. We can and will change start bars to spice things up. This is just a meeting spot to head out to the delights of The City centre Some girls are happy staying in the one spot, but there is plenty more to see. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ OTHER BARS: Katie's - great busy bar, probably got karaoke/cabaret on, 4pm to midnight. Speakeasy - Speakeasy, it's open 6pm to 2am got a club upstairs Underground - next door, it's a Bear bar but everyone really friendly. Delmoniaca's - "Dels" Best known bar, at weekend very busy. The Gallery Bar - A man's man Gay bar - Table service and outside seating. Bacchus - Nice wee bar - mostly straight but Trans friendly. Opened all day, The Corset Club - Does food and cabaret acts, it opens 4pm to midnight The Riding rooms - connected to Polo Lounge club -get in before 11 for free A good bar and not as manic as the Polo, with some cabaret acts, CLUBS: The Polo Lounge - get there before 11 for free, the Club open till 4am. AMX - A very young crowd nightclub. OTHERS: They are others, They are a bit of a walk, but unlikely we will get to. Merchant Pride - Alright bar, only been a couple of times The Waterloo - The oldest gay bar Stereo - A vegan restaurant - very trans friendly bar CJ's - The local swingers club - we rarely have events clashing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ HOTELS: There are loads of hotels in the area about 5 to 10 minutes away, best to book in advance. Revolver, The Spires, Ibis Styles, Mercure, Brunswick hotel, Premier Inn George Sq, Travel lodge Queen St, Z hotel, AC hotel The Social Hub, MAKEOVERS: We don't offer any dressing service, but we do have makeup girls For makeovers in the city centre, St. Vincent lane/Buchanan St Just google"Planet Babe" Ania or "Jenny Workman " is an amazing artist £40 a pop. And a 5-minute walk away. Hey Everyone Friday night was a great night. Here's to another 4 years. We stayed in the Riding room and then moved to the The Polo Lounge next door, to get good seats as soon as it opened. I left before midnight but night was still continuing. We had 3 new girls out Sarah (Glamgreygirl), Alison Roddick and Dee Cee. Mandylegs, Mandy and Penny, Claire, Alanah, Kim, Susan and Jennifer White showed up with her wife and daughters. so 14 in total. Hopefully we improve on that next month, it might be 2 weeks early for Halloween but not stopped some of you. Permanent Fixture I would like the start pub to be The Riding Room from now on? We all did love the old Speakeasy but it's lost its charm. |

Went along without any preconceptions but with nerves aplenty, my first girls night out in over a decade. Kim went the extra mile, collected me from my hotel and introduced me to everyone, extremely friendly and easy to talk to crowd, very welcoming and immediately felt like this was my tribe. The venue was a bit loud for conversation but the staff were very friendly and accommodating, even had table service while the place was less busy. Went through to the Polo Club after 11 pm, and even had a dance downstairs, no-one batted an eyelid, despite my advanced years, not many clubs see a girl in her 7th decade making moves on the dance-floor without some snide looks but was all very chilled and pleasant. I can honestly say it was a lovely evening, very entertaining and I had a great time, only wish it could have gone on longer. Best wishes to all the girls I met and thanks for being so welcoming x |

Thank you everyone who attended last night was really nice to see everyone enjoying themselves,.3 new girls ☺️ I think the choice to change venues to The Riding Rooms was a wise one, lovely inside and the staff were brilliant, entertainment was awesome However this girl doesn't do nightclubs any more so the polo was out for me,.it's free entry before 10.30pm so I curtailed my evening about 11.30pm |

The Glasgow nights are not what they used to be, The City centre bars were super dead, I'm thinking it's the end of summer and furure nights will be busier Metting time was 6pm could only stay for a quick drink as everyone was moaning about leaving, I thought it was just okay for a quick drink. Not spending the whole there. With Woodies has changing it's dynamics and not for the best. We moved to Corset club 7pm as someone wanted food, it had a nice beer garden but all the tables were booked for a running club which all just stood at the bar. We popped across the road to the Riding rooms 8pm to see the cabatet show it was alright 10pm the club opened in Polo which got good seats stayed to after midnight. I popped next door to Delmonica's 9pm to vist Kim, it was suprisingly quiet Personally I would ditch Speakeasy as a meet up place. and recomend the Gallery Bar, but other voices would say someplace else, it up to you say in the Forum or message Kim i f you do decide to come along Trying to please everyone, you please no one. To be honest I would rather not bother and just please myself. Susan |
