I, that is Michellemalvern, no longer work at this pub and I will not for the foreseeable be promoting any more events at this venue.It is to your choice as to whether or not you wish to visit the venue, but there are no longer any LGBT staff working there and a welcome may not be as friendly as it once was.
I may, if the current owner relinquishes his tenancy, return to the pub and continue with LGBT events.
Thank you all for your spectacular support at the previous events.

Friendly local village pub run by 'Michellemmalvern' aka 'David'.
We've some great beers and damn good food on these days and we're most welcoming to all.
We have 5 accommodation rooms that are well appointed.
The locals of the village are very welcoming to all sexualities and are not averse to seeing Michelle serving behind the bar and some of her friends hanging around the place.
We are rural so there are no other venues, clubs or pubs within walking distance. It is a small picturesque village.
We'll try to put on events through out the year for members of our community.
I don't want criticism or for people to berate what we do.- I'm putting on events because I want to and not for financial reasons. I'm part of this community and try to do my best for it and to better it and promote it. I try to employ folks from within our realm and show to the world that we're pretty ok people.
I ask that you maintain decent standards and morals and not give anyone the opportunity to berate us or give reason to suspend these events. So...no overtly sexual stuff in public please!!

What a little Gem! Cold wet & windy, - but still The Swan was stuffed to the gunnel's. Surprisingly friendly locals (even if they WERE a little pished by the end, making them even friendlier!) & some Gurls travelling from Far & Wide. Get along next time, you'll love it. |

I had a fantastic time at the Swan! That's all you really need to know but it was especially nice, though it made me slightly anxious, even though i do go out lots, to go somewhere quite so close to home as that! I think we all need to say thanks to Michelle for smoothing things over and making us very welcome to perhaps a slightly "un worldly wise" though accepting management & local populous; shes's fab. Even the locals had a bit of a dance with us. The drinks were very reasonable, there was live music and a bit of a disco after (that would be the only thing I'd improve though I do love my clubbing a bit too much, lol). She didn't even charge an entrance fee and its a lovely character pub which is clean and tidy with loo rolls in the toilets. It's funny how these things make a difference... Doing the scene isn't something I do, too much sitting around, chatting and drinking tea whilst the shops are closing and the clubs opening for me. But this was different; I met loads of lovely people, chatted, danced and finally left the hardened stop-outs at 3. Please do it again!!! |
