An excellent evening organised by Kathy & Nikki Martin (who's birthday it just happened to be that day as well as the late Audrey Hepburn). There were a few notable absentee's mainly due to in their words the cost of the evening which at £60 may have been out of their reach but when a superb 3 course dinner is added it soon became value for money. But 100 people attended so that was very good, I thought. The band - The Swingsmiths kept us entertained and dancing all night till 1am when some went off to bed, To Pinks or in my case home 10 mins away, the acoustics did allow a certain amount of unrequired echo (high ceiling, small room). The bar drinks were a little OTT given the captive market for instance a white wine spritzer and a standard G & T (with the T in a small bottle) coming to nearly £10. There was a TV photographer who was charging for her services on her website which I though was a little unfair given that Karl from PP did a fantastic job back in Nov and for free. The staff needed to lighten up a little, think they were very unsure how to deal with loads of elegant ladies. |

Another good event brilliantly organised by Kathy, the band, once again, were the highlight of the evening. The food wasn't remarkable with the lamb I had a little on the tough side also I felt the prices of drinks at the bar were a little on the high side. I would go again but the venue lacks the ambiance of Bletchley Park. The rooms in the hotel were of an excellent standard and I wouldn't stay at the Camp again.
