EVERY FRIDAY from this week 28th June 2013 m to f transsexual girl April Mae, will be hostessing, this is an innovation to have a ts girl not a drag act running a karaoke session in blackpool, furthermore she will be running it every other Saturday ie starting 29th June 2013.
Topping Street is generally T friendly as is most of the North Pier part of Blackpool, be aware that those from out of town can tend towards the less accepting side of the spectrum.

What can be said about this girl:- Sings low high, and middle, kicks arse with the rock, does the old school tune Everybody Free like no one else around ... this is not Karaoke or Trani Oke as she says its AprilOke. She is limited by her environment on some levels as the volume levels could do with being a lot higher - but the place was bouncing JUST TO MENTION THAT FROM 9TH AUGUST SHE IS MOVING TO THURSDAY- 8 - MIDNITE- she has a number of weekend booking elsewhere in the country to attend - so this means that she can get away and come back more effectively in the future |

Aprilmaes Karaoke is a unique event, it grows and will grow but she is simply unique, how many people could sing one minute Titanium by David Guetta and Sia, and then follow that up with the various next track by singing Bon Jovi's Bed of Roses, the age range on Friday was from early twenties to late sixties. Apart from the obvious star of the show who loves the banter and is more than willing to take a backseat or offer a guiding hand to some very good singers who regularly turn up to sing their favourite tunes. One thing to watch out for is the laugh ... you got to be there to experience it .... April already seems to have made a lot of converts at this venue ... more will follow
