Had a great weekend in Old Town area. Followed parade from start to finish and enjoyed the carnival atmosphere and spectacle of the a Pride event. Stayed in a local hotel in the heart of the Old Town and went out dressed in the evenings around the bars supporting the event. I found the people welcoming and the 'scene' non threatening and would recommend this as a venue for fellow chixters to take the opportunity to take the plunge and go out and enjoy the moment,it was awesome. I felt that this event could be supported by a Uk contingent with its own float possibly in the near future once others experience the event. I will be booking early to ensure a hotel room for next year without a doubt. Special thanks to TessaM for arranging the pre meet buffet. Regards to all Paulatv13. |
