Description:
A gentle country pub which is set opposite Sherborne Abbey and is itself based on a very old building. You are very welcome here fully dressed but with suitable decorum.
Parking is available around the venue and the locals are friendly!
The current landlady continues to support the trans community so a good place to organise a meet in normal pub hours.

Difficult to rate as this was not a T Girl venue as such. we were visiting this hostelry to renew acquaintance of the landlord who was late of the Bakers Arms in Bournemouth, now closed. we were expecting to have pizza but that was cancelled so the intrepid four of us did no more than decamp to the indian restaurant next door to enjoy some really good and sensibly priced indian food which was light years better than the old style 'curry with chips' establishments. Obviously having three trans people and a male admirer in both the restaurant and the pub was a big draw for the locals and staff of both and we were treated with courtesy and respect. No security as such so no rating but we are big girls and capable of coping with this sort of situation. A fab night out but perhaps not for first timers. |

This was a lovely night out. A trip to a reasonably quiet and historic country town to enjoy a few drinks with old friends. Lady Hay put the cunning plan together, for which, thanks. And thanks for the lift. The Plume of Feathers is a lovely pub, with very friendly customers who we enjoyed chatting to throughout the evening (as well as the publicans). Let's hope this happens again from time to time.
