Great to see Alyssa back from her holiday, also really good to see Leyla again. This is a lovely group of girls, friends, supporters etc and a great time to just chill, chat and catch up! Also nice to welcome a new girl into our little group of ladies, I hope we helped to calm her nerves and allow her to just relax among friends. I started coming to this group to find support and got it in bucket loads, now I am happy to pass on that support and welcome to others. So if you are new to this wonderful trans world of ours, or new to Reading this group is a great way to be yourself in a relaxed, safe and friendly atmosphere. |

Our usual host, Alyssa Black, was off on her hols so instead we had the lovely Lorna no less than the COO of SupportU looking after us! Also a new member of the team, Grace, was introduced to us as the 'token straight girl' and she was wonderful! Such a nice person and a pleasure to meet and chat with. This is a very informal kind of event, just a group of like minded individuals meeting to chat over coffee about all sorts! When I started attending these meets about a year ago I was so nervous, and didn't have the courage to venture out dressed and instead would change at the venue. A few others that attend still do this for the usual reasons. I am now so much more confident, in part due to the support and acceptance that I received from this group, and in part as my journey continues and I overcome obstacles and those unfounded fears have just melted away! Now I go out frequently as Georgie and rather than attending to receive support I feel that I am now in a position to offer support, advice and encouragement to others! So, this is a great place to go if you are nervous, or just need a place away from your home where you can dress if you wish, or not, and be welcomed by everyone equally and without judgement! |

Friendly group to meet and chat. Car Parking can be a little problematic if you come dressed. Unfortunately the same evening as the Totton disco.
