Description:
A unique Victorian era water powered cliff railway linking the parrallel villages of Lynton (cliff top) and Lynmouth (sea level) which has been functioning almost daily since 1890, this year (2015) it celebrates its 125th anniversary and recently Princess Anne commemerated that with a visit. The base station is very close to where both 'Lyn' rivers meet and the scene of the 1952 flood disater.
The team are T-girl friendly and I had no problems when I visited the line in early July 2015, with one member of staff happy to take pics of me whilst making passengers wait.
Full details on costs, opening hours, etc are to be found on thier website.
