///LFF RECOMMENDED VENUES///
We have a wealth of LFF-friendly venues we absolutely recommend you check out. Tour from venue to venue and make Leeds First Friday your very own!
**VIADUCT SHOWBAR**
The very essence of the Freedom Quarter! The Viaduct Showbar is a vibrant institution not to be missed! Round the corner from Marriott, here you’ll find outrageous drag cabaret, lively disco and fantastic cocktails at the brand new Bar Curious. LFF’ers get in free and jump the queue! Don’t forget to check out our exclusive LFF x Bar Curious cocktails, the Elderflower MoTeaTo and the Passionfruit MoTeaTo 🍸
Open until 4am.
Address: 11 Lower Briggate
**THE BRIDGE**
Relaunched with a wonderful LFF friendly team, the Bridge is the corner stop on your venue tour not to be missed. Drag, Karaoke and fabulous drinks. This is a buzzing venue with a friendly heart.
Open until 2am.
Address: 1-5 Bridge End
**THE NEW PENNY**
This is the oldest gay bar in Leeds and they remain fiercely and proudly retro. Forget the glitterball’s and LED’s, this is wonderfully old school LGBTQ+ socialising. Drop your pretences and just have a great time.
Open until 5:30am.
Address: 57-59 Call Lane
**FIBRE**
Bar Fibre is a true Leeds staple, gracing the city with it’s presence since 2000. Many LFF’ers first stop after leaving the Marriott. Dance music, terrace seating and three vibey floors make this the place to dance until the early morning.
Open until 4am.
Address: 168 Lower Briggate
**QUEENS COURT**
Adjacent to Fibre is Queens Court. Queens Court is another venue with a long LFF history and a friendly atmosphere to match. This bar/club has a private cobbled courtyard area for outdoor drinking, Friendly waves and gestures with LFF'ers from neighbouring club Fibre.
Open until 3am.
Address: 167-168 Lower Briggate
**BLAYDS BAR**
Opposite Revolución de Cuba, is a small archway (next to No.3 Hairdressing, Lower Briggate) that leads to this gem of a bar. Head down the alley and find yourself in Blayd’s yard. Perfect for a summer drink, or head inside for a small, but friendly bar, that continues to offer a warm welcome and a good range of drinks at decent prices.
Open until 12:30am.
Address: 3-7 Blayds Yard
**SMOKESTACK**
Go up the stairs to two floors of funk, soul, blues, jazz and reggae, with a dance floor on upper level. A favourite of many LFFers.
Open until 4am.
Address: 159A Lower Briggate
**FARRANDS BAR**
Luxury cocktails with great attention to detail at this relatively new venue just right around the corner from Travelodge. Unlike other venues, you will need to book in advance. Reports back from LFF'ers are that its worth it.
Address: 18 Swinegate
**REVOLUCION DE CUBA**
On the corner of Lower Briggate and Call Lane, get transported to Havana for a Cuban-style evening of dancing, drinking and dining. Check out their selection of rums and venture upstairs for further space if downstairs gets too busy.
Open until 3am
Address: 64-68 Call Lane
**THE-END BAR**
Opened at the end of 2022, the End Bar is a beautifully restored townhouse tucked away just off Lower Briggate. Now a firm favourite at LFF, youll find seating, music, great drinks and a friendly crowd.
Open until 3am
Address: Hirst's Yard, Leeds

///POPULAR HOTELS///
The majority of LFF'ers stay overnight in one of the local hotels within short walking distance of all the venues. Here are our recommended hotels.
**THE MARRIOTT**
The Marriott is very close to the action while being quiet enough for a great nights sleep. Stay at this well appointed hotel, with a discount code for LFF (see our socials for details) and discounted parking in the Trinity car park (although not as big discount as other hotels).
**THE BRIGGATE HOTEL**
Located above the Viaduct Showbar it couldn’t be closer to the action. LFF’ers get a discount (see socials for details). Close to the action does give this hotel plenty of vibe, and the provided earplugs are very welcome. New addition this month are new mews houses adjacent to the hotel which offer more exciting options.
**TRAVELODGE LEEDS CENTRAL (Blayds Court)**
A very popular hotel for LFF. Conveniently close with discounted parking in the Trinity car park.
**MALMAISON**
A step up in quality from the budget hotels. By the Bridge at the lower end of Briggate, discounted parking at Q-Park.
**ROOMZZZ APARTHOTEL**
Nearby on Swinegate, apartments with kitchenettes, and optional balconies. Great if you plan to stay the weekend and wish to cook your own food.
**DISCOVERY INN**
Just by the station for those coming by train and only a short walk to the venues. Often has the lowest prices of the nearby hotels.
**TRAVELODGE LEEDS CENTRAL VICAR LANE**
Usually slightly cheaper than the other Travelodge but a significantly longer walk which some find too far.
**MORE DISTANT HOTELS**
It can be cheaper at times to stay at a hotel further away from the centre and take a taxi in, particularly if there is something else popular in Leeds on the night. Premier Inn Elland Road often features for its very low prices, great lighting and staff and free parking. Taxis are typically £10-15 each direction.
**COSMOPOLITAN IS CURRENTLY CLOSED**
The Cosmopolitan Hotel has been closed for many months with no sign of renovations. It's sad to see our once main venue in this state. We reach out to the owners semi-regularly for updates and if there is anything newsworthy we will share it. For now, our new favourites are Marriott and Travelodge.
PLEASE NOTE: Leeds First Friday is a first and foremost a social night. This is not a dating focused event.
