Not the sitcom with Victoria Wood and Julie Walters, but a monthly meet-up for girls who like to dine out together. (And well-behaved gentlemen ). It will probably be on the first Tuesday each month, and usually in central London.. Locations will vary, and times may be different to take advantage of menu offers.
Number will be limited to SIX, for ease of seating and conversation. Please put your name down only if you are sure of coming....NO MAYBES PLEASE.
This month it's a steak night, so not suitable for vegetarians. Flat Iron is at 17 Beak Street, W1F 9RW.
7.45pm at the restaurant, or 7.00pm in Ain't Nothing But The Blues Bar, at 20 Kingly Street, W1B 5PZ, where we catch a bit of live blues music and the beer is good value. From the bar it's a short walk south to Beak Street, turn right, and the restaurant is just there.
After eating, I suggest we drop into the Colony Room Bar, a recreation of the famous Colony Room, which was in Soho. It's in Heddon Street, which was the location of the photo on the cover of David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust album. The entrance to the Colony Room Bar is at 4 Heddon Street, and the door is at the side of Ziggy's Restaurant on the corner.
