You will all well know that Trans people meeting socially in Manchester has been an every Week thing on Wednesdays since the late 1970's.
These days, still expanding boundaries, we have a have a well trod wednesday schedule for new, novice and shy people who prefer the safety and acceptance of diversity that the Village gives and a non-Village routine that I lead in and around the city area. My experience is that Trans people are generally accepted in society and sensible trans visibility helps to cement that acceptance.
The Village option and timings;
6pm to 9pm you will usually find ladies in Via or Velvet on Canal Street.
8pm to 11pm ladies meet up in Iconic Bar on Richmond Street, a chilled and very friendly little bar where you will get 10% off their drinks just for being a trans person :-)
11pm-ish people will usually drift back to Via in Canal Street or to The Goose, NewYorkNewYork or Centre Stage which are all on Bloom Street.
The City option and timings;
I will be out in the city or local towns shopping and cafe-ing from mid-day to around 6pm.
From 6pm I will be dining privately with a friend so there is no dinner option in the city with me this week.
11pm-ish onwards I will go to Northern Quarter until things close around 3am. If anyone wants to join me either during the day shopping and cafe-ing or late evening in Northern Quarter then please just message me to arrange place and time.
